Bon service, belle ambiance, mais n'y allez pas pour la qualité de la nourriture... Le tartare de saumon était moyen & le contre-filet était vraiment très mauvais. On l'a renvoyé 2 fois en cuisine pour la cuisson mais même cuit comme demandé il n'était pas bon donc on n'y a pas touché, un beau gâchis. Bref, il est clair que nous ne reviendrons pas. Dommage pour une si belle localisation.
Not sure about some of the lower reviews on here but our experience was great. Our servers & the food were quite good especially after a long day of waiting to get through customs.

I enjoyed the Interieur a lot. Like the style, good noise level of the ambient music.
Service was good, although the water refills could have come a bit more timely.
My omlette was rather ham-heavy, but quality was on point. Plus points for serving fruits with it.
The French toast matched m expectations fully as well.
Enfin un bon restaurant à la hauteur de la gastronomie Française ! j'y suis allée 2 fois & c'est vraiment très très bon. Les assiettes sont copieuses, autant les entrées que les plats principaux & les desserts délicieuuuuux ! les cuissons autant des viandes que des poissons sont juste parfaite. C'est vrai qu'on ne pense pas à y aller car il se situe dans un hotel mais ça vaut le détour & le décor fait pensé à l'époque du Titanic. Je suis aller ds un autre resaurant'gastronomique' recemment & c'était visuellement superbe mais franchement déguelasse. Je vous recommande le Commodore, vous ne serez pas déçu. 6 étoiles !
C'était bon , le matcha par contre n'était pas vraiment bon & étant une amoureuse du matcha , celui-ci n'était pas un 10/10, mais plutôt un 4/10 . La nourriture est moyenne , mais ses mangeable. Honnêtement le service est bon, les gens sont gentil mais il manque un peu de joie. Sinon le resto en lui même est très jolie & bien fait , mais honnêtement vous pourriez trouver un bien meilleur restaurant proche.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The hotel staff is very friendly. Once we arrived, we were greeted & had assistance with someone taking our luggage to the room while we were completing the check-in process at the front desk. The lobby is so chic & pretty! The hotel room is beautifully decorated, very spacious, & extremely clean! The amenities are nice as well. The swimming pool is heated & has an amazing view of the city. It was a perfect place to relax after a freezing day outside. During our stay, Montreal experienced a record-breaking snowstorm. Because of the weather, we were thankful to be able to eat most of our meals at Commodore restaurant. The service was great, & the food was delicious. We highly recommend this hotel, & we will come back to stay at this hotel in the future. 10/10!!

Le resto est situé dans l'hôtel adjacent, tout simplement magnifique endroit!
Toutes ont aimé leur plat de poisson.
Le filet de porc très généreux était un peu trop cuit & aurait gagné à être servi en tranches, disposées dans la sauce qui était très goûteuse.
L'accompagnement de lentilles n'était cependant pas très réjouissant. Des pâtes au beurre ou un bon riz aurait été plus approprié pour accompagner le porc.
Le potage aux champignons était par ailleurs, excellent.
On comprend mal le prix de la table d'hôte assez chère qui comprend la soupe mais qui est chargée $4?? Finalement, elle n'est pas incluse à moins de rajouter $4...bizarre.
Quelques employés on besoin de formation & de éducation! Surtout de comment bien parler avec des clients! La façon dont nous racontons ou transmettons la formation à un client doit être polie. Je vous recommende le Marcus at Four Seasons Hotel.
I took my daughter to this restaurant. Because we were seeing a show at Place De Arts. The decor of the restaurant is absolutely incredible, I just love the Art Deco feel. The service was wonderful. But as for the food, I was a little bit disappointed. I would say it was average. I found everything that we ate was underseasoned. We ate salmon tartare, chicken breast, & the Angus beef dish. Again, I would say it was average. I would have liked a bit more of a flavor full experience. But, I do love that they have gluten-free & vegan options
I went there after seeing the hype about this restaurant on TikTok. I was really disappointed with the service: the night waitress was rude & unfriendly. You're not allowed to use flash or take pictures inside the building. Disappointed with this place.
Commodore, located in the chic Honeyrose Hotel, is a visually stunning restaurant with a warm & inviting atmosphere that sets the tone for a refined evening. The standout features of our visit were the elegant setting & the excellent service, which made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. For appetizers, we ordered the salmon tartare, & we recommend the 6 oz portion ($29) if you're sharing-it's fresh & well-executed. The oysters (12 units) were definitely a highlight: incredibly fresh, perfectly chilled, & absolutely delightful. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for all the dishes. The lobster bisque cappuccino was decent but slightly too oily for our liking, which took away from the experience. Lastly, the penne primavera à l'italienne was disappointing-lacking depth & flavor, it felt too simple & unmemorable for such a sophisticated venue. While the atmosphere & service are top-notch, the food itself was hit-or-miss. Commodore is worth visiting for the oysters, ambiance, & attentive staff, but the overall culinary experience leaves room for improvement.
Je ne fais presque jamais de reviews mais la..Vraiment déçu de mon experience au Commodore. Je suis allée manger la bas hier avec mes amies pour mon anniversaire. J'avais déjà mentionner que c'était pour mon anniversaire & déja meme pas de petit dessert d'anniversaire? Ok pas grave. Le service aurait pu être mieux, nous devions toujours redemander de se faire servir de l'eau. La musique & l'ambiance étaient monotone & très ennuyante. Idéale pour un date night mais pas pour des groupes. Maintenant, la partie la plus DÉCEVANTE. Je me suis intéressée au Commodore à cause de ce que j'ai vu sur TikTok. NE CROYEZ PAS AU « HYPE ». Un monsieur super condescendant sûrement raciste (nous sommes d'origine Afrodescendente) nous a interdit de prendre des photos dans le hall & lobby sous prétexte que nous n'avions pas de chambre. On s'est dit okay.. nous allons prendre des photos sur les escaliers, il arrive & nous bloque l'accès en mettant la corde. Nous le demandons pourquoi nous ne pouvons pas faire de photos, tout le monde le fesais ? Il nous répond c'était dans le passé, c'est une nouvelle politique. Toujours de façon TRÈS CONDESCENDANTE & ARROGANTE. Je ne reviendrai jamais la bas à cause de ce monsieur là. La nourriture est juste normal, pas extraordinaire. JE NE RECOMMANDE PAS. Ils ont juste un beau decor. Ps. Pas de prise de photo avec flash aussi.
Drinks were good! I ordered a dessert that literally came right away as if it was frozen & not fresh. Also, I got told not to take photos in the restaurant or the lobby. When you're paying 22$ for a single drink, I should be allowed to take a picture of my order without getting told off right away. Very rude of them & not a good marketing strategy. Will not be going back.
We enjoyed a simply delicious meal for two on Xmas. The rack of lamb & the filet were superb, many thanks to the chef & the entire staff for a truly remarkable Xmas dinner. Book your reservation today!
