The Columbus chain is something in between your hometown's'' artisan coffee shop'' &'' Starbucks''. They are a French chain with a few branches in Quebec.

The one in Plateau is a wonderful place. It is spacious & naturally illuminated. Clean & looks chic. In summers, they also bring an outside terrace.

Washrooms are well maintained but could be below the wow level depending on the day. Yet they keep them clean constantly & would help you with Toilet papers etc, if they run out.

Coffee choice is great. Quality & taste is Way better than any big chain but falls short of an artisan one. Barristers are well aware of the products & they do an excellent job.

Staff - Generally very very friendly. There are lots of daily visitors. I would not say every staff is the same. With some, you feel kind of ignored.

Good food choice. Sadly though, they have not changed much. They could certainly replace some sandwiches & muffins which do not taste good.

If you are a Digital Nomad, you need to be aware of four things.

Wifi is superbe.

Only four charging ports are available.

Some tables are not for Laptops. ( Which is understandable)

The loyalty program is useless.

Overall, I would certainly recommend the Columbus on Plateau to everyone. It is a place for everyone.
