Review Summary

Reviews describe Cococina as a standout dining spot with delicious, beautifully presented dishes that blend Moroccan and Spanish influences, complemented by creative cocktails and a warm, vibrant, upscale atmosphere that works for celebrations or a cozy date night. The interior design is repeatedly praised as stylish and the overall vibe is welcoming and lively, sometimes described as instagrammable. Service is a mix of high praise for attentiveness and professionalism and occasional notes of slowness or miscommunication, but the consensus is that when the service hits its stride the experience is memorable. Dishes like tajine variations, seafood platters, octopus, calamars, and lamb receive frequent compliments, while a few items such as certain shrimp preparations or poutine have caveats about taste or portion size and some reviews mention timing constraints that affected the meal. Overall, Cococina is viewed as a strong, high quality option in Montreal with many guests planning to return and recommend it, while acknowledging that as a newer venue some aspects can still be refined.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Cococina. The food was outstanding-beautifully presented, full of flavor, & clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried exceeded our expectations. The cocktails were just as impressive: creative, perfectly balanced, & expertly crafted.
The atmosphere was warm, vibrant, & inviting, making it the perfect place to relax & enjoy a special evening. But what truly made our night unforgettable was the exceptional service from Andrea. She was attentive, friendly, & professional, always making sure we had everything we needed with a genuine smile. Her attention to detail & kindness made us feel truly valued as guests.
We will definitely be coming back & highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.

We visited Cococina in Montreal with my wife. The interior has a very interesting modern design, & the staff were friendly & welcoming. The cocktails were very good, & the food was tasty. At first glance, nothing feels overly unusual, but the food is genuinely good.

There were a couple of points that could be improved. My wife was initially given a fork that had not been properly cleaned, which could be a serious issue for many guests. Also, the second cocktail my wife ordered was accidentally forgotten, even though the restaurant was not yet fully busy. When I asked for the bill, the staff quickly prepared the cocktail, removed it from our bill, & apologized, which we appreciated.

Overall, it's a nice restaurant with tasty food, great cocktails, & an interesting atmosphere. The service could be a bit more polished, but it's still a pleasant experience.

We absolutely loved the food. The octopus literally melted in the mouth, the fish & chips with black caviar & an incredibly rich cheesy sauce was spotless, & the lamb was beyond praise. The seafood platter exceeded all expectations. Cocktails didn't disappoint either...A truly memorable experience.
But.....We were a group of 15 people, & despite making the reservation in advance, we were seated at two separate tables (8 & 7). It would have been easily possible to arrange one large table, which would have made the experience much more comfortable for our group.
