They sat us at the table, made us pay, & asked us to leave so they can seat another table. After that, the'owner' had the nerve to tell us that he'd refund us, just to make us leave. To make matters worse, they told us the kitchen was closed, but 20 minutes later, the'owner's friend' got food. &, to top it off, the server didn't know the kitchen was closed & asked us if we wanted to order food. If we didn't make a reservation or try to order food, I would understand them wanting us out, but we really did try to spend & we did we did not go there to just take pictures. The lack of service is crazy. It took 10 minutes for them to even get us water. I'm so disappointed seeing as this restaurant is well known. Definitely not coming back.
Amazing food!! Everything is so delicious !! & fantastic service from Nelson ! Totally recommend this restaurant if you're looking for quality, service & a wonderful time !

Had an amazing experience at Cococina thanks to Andrea! Her service was exceptional from start to finish - friendly, attentive, & incredibly welcoming. She made the entire experience enjoyable & went above & beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend asking for Andrea if you visit!
On a essayé ce nouveau resto & honnêtement, quelle belle découverte! La nourriture était délicieuse, l'ambiance super agréable & le service impeccable du début à la fin. Un énorme merci au gérant Nelson, qui a été tellement gentil, attentionné & accueillant. Ça fait vraiment toute la différence de se sentir aussi bien reçu. On voit qu'il prend soin de ses clients. Je recommande définitivement cet endroit & j'ai déjà hâte d'y retourner 🤍
Cococina was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had in Montreal.
The food tasted completely pre-cooked & simply reheated. The patatas bravas were basically inedible: dry, hard, & flavorless. Food quality was extremely disappointing. The $22 cocktails tasted like $1 drinks - badly made, unbalanced, & not worth the price at all.
The open kitchen filled the entire place with a strong cooking smell after only 30 minutes, to the point where our clothes smelled like food when we left. Personally, I also found the atmosphere cold & uncomfortable, more like sitting in a church than in a restaurant.
& I say this as someone who goes out often to some of the best restaurants in Montreal & doesn't mind spending money for quality. I almost never leave bad reviews, but this place absolutely does not deserve its prices or hype.
Le maître d'hôte offre un excellent service, rapide efficace & courtois. Il connaît bien le menu & met de l'avant des propositions intéressantes pour donner une expérience enrichissante & agréable. Le service était très bien synchronisé, la nourriture était bien apprêtée & chaude, permettant de goûter la qualité des aliments. Les verres arrivaient rapidement & étaient bien alcoolisés. Tout était parfait, nous avons passé une excellente soirée. Une expérience à revivre, sans aucun doute.

New hotspot in the old port of Montreal. Unbelievable decor, really swanky, quality food although a little pricey, & an amazing sound system with dj on most nights.

Terrible service really terrible. The staff is clueless, & spent more time ignoring customers than actually doing their jobs. Waited forever just to be acknowledged, & still disappointed. Easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had.
Très belle ambiance, serveuse extraordinaire.
Je tiens à mentionner qu'ils font faire payé l'eau, j'ai eu la surprise quand j'ai reçu la facture. On ne me l'a jamais mentionné.
Cependant malgré l'achalandage il a fallu attendre 40 minutes avant d'avoir les factures.
Cococina est sans aucun doute l'un des meilleurs restaurants en ville.
Tout est parfaitement exécuté, des plats raffinés, riches en saveurs, jusqu'à une présentation impeccable. Chaque bouchée est une expérience.
L'ambiance est chic, chaleureuse & vraiment unique, parfaite pour une soirée mémorable. Le service est attentionné, professionnel & ajoute encore plus à l'expérience globale.

Decided to do a girls night out over there & everything was amazing. Our waitress Andrea gave us good recommendations & she would constantly check on us to see if we needed anything & the manager was sweet & funny! For me who is particularly picky, the vibe was 10/10 with the dj that really stood out starting at 10pm, the whole place was a completely different vibe which we all adored. Also, the food was sooo good especially the brie.
Terrible service! We had a confirmed reservation for a big groupe Saturday night. When we arrived we had to wait 45mins past our reservation time to be seated. When they did seat us the groupe before us was still leaving & the tables were not yet set up. The server came after 15 mins to see if we wanted any drinks & proposed to bring us water which took her another 15 mins to bring. Very disappointing so my boyfriend & I left. Super hyped but not worth it in my opinion.
