Review Summary

Chungchun Kogo Coreen is widely praised for its tasty Korean corn dogs with a crispy, flavorful twist and a diverse menu that blends savory and sweet options. Reviewers highlight warm, friendly staff, quick service, and a cozy, affordable vibe, making it a go-to spot for a quick, satisfying bite in Montreal. Many diners call the kogo the best in Montreal and enjoy the sides, sauces, and creative fillings, while some note consistency and occasional hiccups with quality or lines, especially when crowds are heavy. While the place is small and not a sit-down restaurant, the atmosphere and value keep people returning, though a few comments point to recent dips in texture like soggy batter or slower service on busy days.

I've never tried corndogs before, these were good! I wasn't sure what sauce to pick, but got a good recommendation from the person working there, very nice!

I've been going here since they first open this downtown location (I believe during Covid) & the line up was always down the street! Corndogs were always hot & fresh made to order, over the years not sure what happened but if you go now (2025) no lineup, & maybe one or two workers (used to be 6-7 in the kitchen) I feel the quality took a turn. The last 2 times I've been it was only 1 worker (staff is always kind & friendly) but the corndogs tasted soggy (it's made to order) but not the usual crispy dog - like the batter needed more time in the fryer. If I do go back I would just mention this & have them fry it for 2 more mins. Otherwise I've always enjoyed this place.

This is my go-to spot for Korean corndogs! My personal favorites are the potato-coated one & the classic kogo-so tasty every time. My partner loves the full mozzarella kogo, & I always sneak a bite. The place is small, with just a few little tables to sit & eat quickly, but the staff is friendly & the kogos are consistently good. Highly recommend if you're craving a delicious snack! 🤭

Amazing Korean corndogs! A lot of variety! We took half mozza half hot dog with ramen topping & the regular with sweet potato topping. Delicious!

First time getting corndogs here! (Tho I've tried the frozen ones) we chose #3 which was a mix of hot dog & cheese! We loved it but assumed that it's gonna be a mixture of hot dog & cheese😬not half cheese, & half hot dog Still! It's highly recommended! Next time I'll get it all cheese cause I can never have enough😄 Another cool thing about this place is that they serve you lots of sauces & toppings Awesome, right?
