Established in 2019, their business specializes in a popular Korean street food – Korean rice dog, that will include rice flour batter wrapped hot dogs, spicy sausages, all mozzarella rice dog and an option that’s half hot dog and half mozzarella cheese. The batter-dipped sticks are coated with optional toppings, from diced potato to breadcrumbs, and freshly fried on the spot.
Reviewers describe Chungchun Kogo Coreen as a small casual spot offering Korean style hot dogs with a crispy batter and a playful range of toppings, from mozzarella and potato coated to cheese and sausage options, including Doritos variations, with a solid lineup of dipping sauces like chili mayo, spicy mayo, teriyaki, and sweet and sour. The atmosphere is cozy and affordable, ideal for a quick bite and often considered instagrammable. The staff are repeatedly praised for friendliness and helpful recommendations, even during busy periods. Some reviews note the downtown location and a Chinatown branch and recall years of steady quality, though a few mention changes in the batter that can leave a dog soggy and a sense that consistency has fluctuated. Overall, it comes across as a beloved go-to snack spot with a distinctive menu and repeat visits, tempered by occasional service hiccups or perceived dips in quality during peak times.
I've never tried corndogs before, these were good! I wasn't sure what sauce to pick, but got a good recommendation from the person working there, very nice!

I've been going here since they first open this downtown location (I believe during Covid) & the line up was always down the street! Corndogs were always hot & fresh made to order, over the years not sure what happened but if you go now (2025) no lineup, & maybe one or two workers (used to be 6-7 in the kitchen) I feel the quality took a turn. The last 2 times I've been it was only 1 worker (staff is always kind & friendly) but the corndogs tasted soggy (it's made to order) but not the usual crispy dog - like the batter needed more time in the fryer. If I do go back I would just mention this & have them fry it for 2 more mins. Otherwise I've always enjoyed this place.
Korean corn dog was great! I visited here all the way from Britain 🇬🇧 so my expectations were quite high, & they definitely met my expectations! The service was fast & simple. Atmosphere was cozy. The prices were standard/cheap. Thankyou for this delicious bite ❤?
This is my go-to spot for Korean corndogs! My personal favorites are the potato-coated one & the classic kogo-so tasty every time. My partner loves the full mozzarella kogo, & I always sneak a bite. The place is small, with just a few little tables to sit & eat quickly, but the staff is friendly & the kogos are consistently good. Highly recommend if you're craving a delicious snack! 🤭
I tried the volcano & the waffle fries. The corn dog came with a dipping sauce ~ I got spicy mayo. The waffle fries came with sweet & sour sauce. I asked for the sauce on the side, & they put it on the fries, but it was delicious either way. I will definitely be back to try more. Maybe I'll try another location next time. This place is small & has only a couple of stools. It's not a sit-down type restaurant. Service was great, I waited a few minutes, there were a few people in there, but only 2 people working.

First time getting corndogs here! (Tho I've tried the frozen ones) we chose #3 which was a mix of hot dog & cheese! We loved it but assumed that it's gonna be a mixture of hot dog & cheese😬not half cheese, & half hot dog Still! It's highly recommended! Next time I'll get it all cheese cause I can never have enough😄 Another cool thing about this place is that they serve you lots of sauces & toppings Awesome, right?
I was a bit disappointed because I had high hopes for this place. It tastes just like a common corn-dog. Also, when you ask for the dressing, you get too little IMO.

First time that I was having a Korean-style hot dog or commonly know as a corn dog. I didn't know what to except or which one to get. So I asked the girl at the counter. She was extremely helpful & friendly. I order the ChungChun which is the original one & I also got the Ramen chip. You can customize it with different type of sauces. I kindly asked the employees to choose for me since I didn't know what to choose but also didn't know which options will be better. I wish I could remember what sauces she put but I don't. She used at least 3. I'm not sure if I should call it the batter or breading, regardless it was delicious. It was soft but crunchy at the same time. The sausage was also very tasty. I took about 6 to 8 minutes to get the food, which is fine since I wasn't in a rush. Give this comment a thumbs up if it helped you in choosing this place.
Love going here for Korean corn dogs! They food is hot & delicious & the staff are kind. I like that there’s a touch screen to order. One thing is that depending on what time your there at you can wait for quiet a while to get your food, it was somewhat busy when I went & I waited 10 minutes. But overall I would definitely recommend coming here!
