My favourite greek restaurant in Laval!
My go to appetizer: artichokes
Everything is delicious especially the moussaka, the chicken gyro & anything on the hot plates.
Thank you
Saturday, December 5, 2025 at 5:45PM my family of 4 one of the best dining out experiences ever.
We started with the cabbage rolls, fried calamari & pikilia platter.
Then my children & husband had souvlaki & gyro pitas & I had the oven roasted lamb with Greek potatoes.
My husband & I shared a 1/2 liter of what i believe is their house wine, which brought me back to the days of drinking my Nonno's homemade wine.
Everything was absolutely phenomenal. Flavour that wasn't overwhelming at all & infused with so much love.
From beginning to end the service was friendly & engaging.
Thank you to everyone who made my birthday dinner a great experience.
We will definitely be back.
Returned as a group & with my family. The waiter was great & even recommended us to combine a souvlaki gyro to save money. Everything was tasty!
Let me preface this review by saying this: This restaurant is known for its authentic Greek cuisine. This is not what we ordered so I'm not reviewing that. We ordered Gyros with pita & loose meat with side orders of Calamari & the food was very good I can't complain. It wasn't excellent but just very good. The service however suffered terrible on that date Wednesday August 20th. First , we were 9 people with 8 glasses of water. I'll let you guess how long it took to get that missing glass. Perhaps it was coming from Kalamata.. when it arrived we were half way done. Speaking of done, my sister ordered some extra tzatziki sauce & it came after she was done with the meal. It was charged on the bill at first but owner apologized & credited the 5$. The busboy is a good kid but a lack of attention & engagement that night was obvious. There was a couple of other things that I won't mention because they were minor. I hope my next visit will be better.
We had a family dinner here, & we're impressed with the quality of the food. Kalamaraki was outstanding & the marinara sauce was excellent. Generous souvlaki sticks & great gyros. Moussaka was rich & perfectly baked.
Worth checking out if you are in Chomedey Laval!
Solid home cooking - not typical restaurant items + some very typical. Can order a gyro alone or as a plate. Parking was ok, waiting a few seconds as a car was leaving.
Very flavourful gyros. Overall the food was good, but the service was disappointing. I ordered takeout- the plate with two pitas, asked for chicken but discovered it was pork when I finally got home. No big deal, it was still good. However I did ask for only potatoes & no rice. Instead I got a mountain of rice & two small pieces of potatoes. Not sure what's up with that. Willing to give it another try though.
You can tell when a business genuinely cares. A family operated restaurant where everyone is super friendly & the food tastes really fresh. Portions are generous. Be sure to reserve as seating is limited. *Edit: They seem overwhelmed when they have bigger groups. Empty plates end up staying on the table for a while before being picked up. They run out of popular menu items like gyro chicken, gyro pork rather quickly, knowing there are groups/ & reservations coming for birthdays etc. The worst is that they take your order & then tell you there's none left. There's a difference between substantial food waste & preparing enough for clients that evening. You also can't order greek style potatoes instead of fries with your dish because "they're only for hot plate orders"... too many rules.
Dinner tonight at this little family Greek casual restaurant in Laval that was highly recommended ... Christina's Cuisine. When we walked in we were greeted & somehow it was clear that we had not been there before, so the man proceeded to show us some of the items in the hot case for tonight's specials with beaming pride (in case we were unfamiliar with Greek food). Although they didn't show our reservation, they sat us immediately (& the restaurant was full during our whole meal...with several people popping in for take away.) It was just a small strip mall restaurant, but it smelled wonderful & felt warm & welcoming & you could almost feel a sense of pride before you even started eating. We ordered a Greek salad (fresh, crisp, & good olives), calamari (meaty & crisp without being greasy), octopus (delicious & perfectly prepared, but a very small amount for the price), tzatziki (creamy & yummy, although I'd prefer a little more garlic, dill, & mint. I like to reek after eating this ;D), moussaka (Greek comfort food at its homey best), pork roast & potatoes (perfectly savory potatoes that Mitch went gaga over & a nice beautiful flavor to the pork...although I always find roast pork to be a little dry, so not my favorite...the flavorful juices served with it made it delicious, grilled lamb chops (absolutely Mmmmmm & my favorite ... although not especially meaty, very enjoyable & hit the spot). Mia & I got Aperol spritz's (that they made cute with some blueberries & sprig of mint) that were very Aperol forward, our favourite twist as we lean more toward a Aperol 3/Prosecco 2/Fizzy Water 1 ratio instead of the usual Prosecco 3 & Aperol 2 Fizzy Water 1 norm. We enjoyed our meal & all felt like this is the type of place that would be quick to recognize you if you came back & probably treat like family if you were a regular (especially having watched the staff's conversations & body language with everyone coming in & dining or picking up to go). We look forward to coming back & maybe next time trying a gyro or souvlaki! (A couple of photos we swiped from their website as we dove in & forgot to take pix! Thr rest are ours ;) )
Amazing food & service! The gyro pita was of the best i've had in Montreal/Laval.
Do you want to feel like you are in Greece when you eat a gyro pita ?, ...go to Christina's, that's all I have to say.
Amazing Greek cuisine in Laval. Their roast pork melts in your mouth, & their moussaka is a family favourite. The lemon potatoes are so lemony ! The chicken gyro was moist & plentiful. The hot table has so many options to choose from (from stuffed veggies to lamb & fish). For dessert, we had their rice pudding, creme caramel, Greek yogurt, & ekmek kataifi. All were big portions & all went perfectly with a cup of coffee.
We ordered takeout from Christina's & although we did not get served by a waiter, the service did not disappoint. We were immediately welcomed as soon as we walked through the door, this being our first time, we had quite a few questions about the menu & although they were very busy (Saturday night) they took the time to give us recommendations & answer our questions. We ordered the gemista, tzatziki, gigantes, Horta, eggplant & gyro plate. Everything was so delicious & fresh, it really felt like we were eating at yiayias house again. Would 100% recommend & go back! Thank you!
The staff here is so friendly & the food is delicious. We got the same waiter both times & he was hilarious. The Greek potatoes, feta balls, gyro, moussaka, iced coffee, everything is delicious. & they have Greek beer! It's a small place so make sure to reserve. Definitely come here!
