I visited last week with my friends. We were a big group, & we added a few more people later, but the staff handled everything super kindly. We ordered chicken, udon, & cocktails, & the food came out really fast.
The Supreme chicken was crispy & spicy, & the Padak had a great balance of the tangy sauce & the pile of green onions on top.
The cocktail with aloe juice was super pretty & tasted great too.
Thanks again for the amazing service & delicious food! I'll definitely be back. 🫶✨
Came on Sunday the 26th of October & the fried chicken was SO salty. I think they might have put too much salt in the fried chicken batter because the sauce itself wasn't what was salty. The food overall went down since they opened & the menu seems smaller with less chicken flavours & types ,only boneless (which is cut too thin) or drums.
The music choice was questionable, until 9Pm songs like Gucci Gang, Megan thee stallion & Cardi B were blasting. Floor staff were nice.

After Chimaek Gana's renewal, I was super excited to try their new menu. I ordered the truffle fries & my favorite chicken, Honey Butter, but the sauce was way too salty. It tasted like there was too much soy sauce in it. Honey Butter should be sweet, but this one was just extremely salty, & I felt uncomfortable while & even after eating it. It went from being my favorite to my least favorite. I don't think I'll order it again next time. Instead, I'll try the Bulgabi & Babypowder flavors-hopefully, they haven't changed too much 🙂.
This used to be our favorite place that we go every month but suddenly, they changed their menu & the dishes were a lot different. The fried chicken portion was smaller than before & they increased the price as well. We normally order Supreme with the Korean red sauce but this last round the sauce tastes almost exactly like ketchup.
Now, if I would choose KFC over than this place
The tteokbokki ingredients were weird & the portion was less than before.
We used to love their fried chicken skin & corn cheese that were reasonably priced but they totally removed those items from the menu.
In the past, I would recommend this to everyone as the e best fried chicken in MTL. Now, I will not go there anymore unless they change back to the way before.
A bit of a disappointing experience.
We ordered truffle fries & boneless honey butter chicken. The fries were not homemade, lukewarm, & tasted nothing like truffle, instead it tasted only pamassan. We told the waiter & they gave us another fries plate, this time pretty hot without truffle flavor but it's still appreciated. & the honey butter chicken tasted really good with the sauce, just too much crispy with not enough chicken. It's the second time I visit there, again a bit disappointed. Btw, the dished takes a looooooong time 30 minutes for just fries & 1 hour for the fried chicken & it's noisy.
Everytime I go the food is very good. The fried chicken with thicker sauces are always the best (e.g. yangnyeom & Supreme). They come in 8 pieces per plate. The powdered chicken & honey butter are a little dry, so not my favorites. The soft pork intestines were also tasty, but too spicy for me despite the menu saying it wasn't (I'm with spice normally).
The bathrooms are always clean & the vibe is great. Service is a little slow (water, bill, limited on free pickled radishes), but ok if you want to chat longer (they'll still ask you to leave if you stay too long, but that's reasonable in my opinion since it was a busy). No need for appetizers since the 8 chicken will be very filling already.
Stunning Korean fried chicken. The seafood jjambbong i had was pretty bland, i didn't know why. I have ordered a several take out of their fried chicken After my first visit, here are a summary:
-baby powder: 5⭐/5⭐, simple, tasty, & not overpowering
-angry bird: 3⭐/5⭐, not a big fan of the sour spicy sauce, became monotone After a short while.
- honey butter: 3⭐/5⭐, too sweet for me
- yangnyeom: 4⭐/5⭐, classic Korean sauce, sweet & with flavors
- truffle fried chicken: 4⭐/5⭐, elevated by the parmesan cheese. Could get a little flavor fatigue in midway.
- supreme : 5⭐/5⭐, creamy & full of flavours.
I wish to try their cajun cream, but it's no longer there (at least for the 3 times that i asked) I'll see if i try more flavors & update the post

If you are looking for some authentic Korean food, this is probably the right place for you. We ordered dalgbal (chicken feet) & yangnyeom fried chicken, it was a lot of food for two ppl. Dalgbal came with rice & seaweed, you can make small rice balls & eat them together with the sauce. I know chicken feet is not for everyone, but it's tastier than it sounds! ;) Yangnyeom chicken was good, but it wasn't exactly what I expected. It was too sweat for us. They also have a patio on the top floor if you want to sit outside with the good weather.
I used to love this place, but I was disappointed with the recent changes. The food quality seems different, & the portions have shrunk. For example, an order of chicken drumsticks used to include 10 pieces, but now it's only 8-& at a higher price.
We also tried a new appetizer from the menu: fried chicken skin. Unfortunately, it missed the mark. It was deep-fried, sprinkled with cumin powder, & served with an unfamiliar white sauce. The flavor was odd & didn't feel Korean at all.
I really hope they can return to the quality & value they once had.
The food was amazing & the waiters were very nice!! I tried their army stew last time & I loved it. It's perfect for the colder weather. This time we got the beef nabe & the Bul Galbi (bulgogi flavored fried chicken), & it did not disappoint! Beef nabe was very a clean but flavorful soup while the fried chicken stayed crispy even when it was swimming in sauce! Highly recommend!

Awesome spot for Korean fried chicken. The ambiance was also dark & moody which we loved. We got the Korean army stew (Budae Jjigae), classic boneless fried chicken with the red sauce, & truffle fries. We loved the experience & would definitely go back to try more
This is truly one of my my FAVOURITE restaurants in Montreal. I highly recommend the honey butter fries & the angel onion chicken. It's a yogurt-onion sauce. So saucy & yummy!
Nice bar atmosphere. I order the "angry bird " spicy sauce expecting a red spicy korean sauce but when it came it only taste like soy garlic sauce. I doubled check with the waitress & she confirmed it is what we order. It was not spicy at all, from a authentic korean fried chicken place I would expect the sauce be at least spicy. The wings were also tiny. The $10 baby powered fries were okay...small portions
The flavors are hit or miss. The boneless Cajun à la crème chicken we had was very dry with barely enough sauce, as the chicken didn't seem marinated. However, the drumsticks are always crispy & juicy. The waiters are friendly, & the atmosphere is amazing, though the tables are relatively close to each other. Reserve before going if you don't want to wait.

Very cool place for Korean fried chicken :) reasonable price & quantity (See images for ref.) Fried chicken platters are around 22-28$ Service is on point. Batter is light & fluffy. The flavour comes mainly from the sauce. They have a good amount of flavour choices & along with the flavour choice you can also choose the "cut"; Boneless/Drumsticks/Wings I have had the "opportunity" (went 3 times this month :D) to try the: Nyeomtta: Very spicy (buldak spicy noodle like sauce) comes garnished with the actual noodle & topped with seaweed flakes. Bul galbi: The marinade probably most comon at most kbbq joints for the beef. (Sweet) comes with some veggies & rice cakes. Honey butter: I found it a tad too sweet but its honey so it is expected. Buttery taste was strong. Perfect if you are sharing with someone that ordered the Nyeomtta. Truffle: Very aromatic & strong truffle taste. This one had no sauce but is submerged in Parmesan. Pleasant surprise Comes with unlimited pickled radish too but last time I went (yesterday) there seemed to be an issue with the daikon prep so the waitress went & got us a bunch of take out radish. Super cool of her 🫰🏻 Dining room decorations were very cool. Nice ambience. Two floor layout with a basement kitchen making the dumb waiter usage a very cool system. All in all recommended if you are looking for great korean fried chicken with very reasonable price. For someone who eats a lot (I think) one order was more than enough. Good enough for two people with less appetite 🙂 Will go back without a doubt.
A Korean experience to be messed with ! Fried chicken bathed in signature sauces & spices, complemented with truffle & parmesan fries & some spicy salad, mouthwatering & filling. Very friendly staff, & the portions are huge making it a very price convenient visit. Must try !
We had the Bul Galbi fried chicken it was so delicious & the sauce is amazing! The portions are generous , korean fried chicken is so crispy ! I had the baby powder it was okay ! I would try other flavors !
A late review for one of my favorite fried chicken stores 🤩. Their portions are great, their fried chicken are fried super well that it stays crunchy! &, the saucing is generous. It's important to note that the different sauce & topping options are on the sweeter & saltier side personally. Their baby powder is also like a powdered sugar & parmesan mix if people are curious. That said, their options are very creative, there's fried chicken with tteokbokki or ramen with seaweed. There's also unlimited of radish pickles. It's important to note for spicy lovers that most of the spicy options aren't too spicy, more on the level of sweet & sour. There's not much non-alcoholic drink options as well compared to their alcohol selection, but they're still updating their menu, so hope this changes. But, definitely a great get together place with friends. Note that like, three plates might be enough for four people! One plate just for a person, well you're getting some nice leftovers to bring back.
I would give it a 4.5 stars. Huge quantities for the price. Ideally, you would want to reserve in advance as there is a lineup if you're a walk-in. We were two & it was our first time so we wanted to try as much as we can, but i recommend taking only an appetizer & an order of chicken. We had the Korean Army Soup, the Padak & the Yangnyeom Chicken. As you can see, the portions are huge. Our favourite was the Padak, the sauce was not too overwhelming & the green onions complimented the chicken really well. The Yangnyoem was a little too sweet for our liking, it tasted like a dessert but some might like it. The soup was great & it had a lot of meat & vegetables. The restaurant at night has a nice & chill vibe with K-Pop playing in the back & some nice blue & purple lights. It's a place that you should come if you're at least 4, so you can enjoy as many dishes as possible. The service is also pretty nice, no complaints there.
