Chicho's specializes in the vibrant culinary traditions of Latin America, offering a diverse menu anchored in Peruvian and Mexican techniques. Patrons encounter a variety of plates featuring zesty ceviches, seasoned grilled meats, and traditional corn-based specialties prepared with authentic spice profiles. The kitchen emphasizes bold, citrus-forward flavors alongside robust savory marinades that define regional street food influences. Every dish maintains a focus on fresh ingredients and balanced textures to deliver a direct representation of these complex gastronomic landscapes. This establishment provides a straightforward environment where the complexity of the food remains the central element of the experience. The menu caters to those seeking substantial portions and recognizable, punchy profiles characteristic of South American and Mesoamerican cooking traditions in a functional, relaxed setting.
Chicho's is widely regarded as an outstanding destination for authentic Peruvian cuisine in Montreal, consistently praised for its fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. Guests frequently highlight the ceviche, chupe de camarones, and pan con chicharron as standout dishes, often noting that the food captures the true essence of traditional Peruvian flavors. Beyond the menu, the restaurant is celebrated for its warm, welcoming, and attentive service, which makes visitors feel at home. With a cozy and unpretentious atmosphere, it remains a favorite for both locals and travelers seeking a genuine and high-quality dining experience.
Un ceviche respectable avec yuca & camote pour moi ,ma conjointe une jalea pas trop frite & raisonnable , bières péruviennes non disponibles , corona, Heineken, c est petit mais tranquille comme endroit.
I can only rate a 5-star on the food I ate that day. I ordered a Chupe de Camarones, a Ceviche de Pezcado, a Papa a la Huancaina & an Alfrajor. 5-star an all of them. I cannot speak for the rest of the menu, as I have not tried those plates but am definitely looking forward to find out.
I have tried many Peruvian restaurants: Melchorita, Eche pa Echarle, Pachamama, Las 3 Conchitas, Dos Ornos, & the Ceviche here has been one of the best ones. Fresh soft fish (none chewy) & great taste. The Chupe was equally tasty & hearty. The same for the Alfajor, fresh, & made with generous amount of dulce de leche.
This is not a 5-star luxurious restaurant but the food is close to excellent & is run by two owners who care.
5/5 would recommend.
The food was absolutely delicious, & the service was excellent. I ordered the ceviche & jalea, & both were fresh, flavorful, & authentic. It was so good that I decided to come back another day to try the chicharrón, which was also amazing. I had a great experience & would definitely recommend this Peruvian restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food & great service.

Today I came to enjoy a Peruvian breakfast, & honestly, it was the best choice!
The food tastes truly authentic, full of that traditional sazón criolla flavor that every Peruvian hopes to find abroad. Mrs. Flor took great care of us; she was kind, attentive, & made our experience even better. I really enjoyed my time here, eating & savoring a real Peruvian breakfast.
