You must order from the counter, and get up again when it’s ready to gather, except on weekends, and only for coffee (maybe with sugar). Prepared like it was meant to be, no fodder. We arrived right before 6pm & shockingly the restaurant was empty. We were expecting a line & a moderate wait, but no waiting which was awesome. Restaurant was clean & we ordered their most expensive poutine, which included hot dog, ground beef, cheese curds & gravy. Pretty damn good as a meal, except no veggies. 😂 really only stopped for a snack but the poutine dish was pretty satisfying. Their menu has hamburgers, hotdogs, shakes & an assortment of soft drinks. Was worth the experience as a tourist & would come back. Merci!
3 étoiles au final Pourtant l'accueil est très agréable, l'ambiance reposante, je précise que le jour de ma visite à 11h45 il n'y avait pas beaucoup de monde... J'ai apprécié que la musique ne soit pas trop forte & les toilettes propres 😃 En fait le seul problème, pour moi, se situe au niveau de la viande... Bien trop cuite !!! J' ai du mal à comprendre... J' ai même attendu une deuxième visite pour donner un avis. Pourquoi faire une boulette aussi cuite ? Pour des questions de salubrité ? Pourtant chez Burger De ville où Mr Steer on peut choisir son niveau de cuisson ! Vraiment dommage... Les frites sont bonnes par contre, même si mon invité les aurais préféré plus croustillantes, question de goût... & finalement, l'addition : 30$ pour 1 burger, 1 Cheese burger, 1 frite & un jus d'orange !!!
These are true smash burgers. The way they smash the patty & get little crispy bits on the edge of it, mmmm so tasty. I’m gluten sensitive but still had some bites with the bun. Soft, & light bun. It’s more of a vessel than bun. The fries are to die for. No need to order them crispy, as they come PERFECT!
This place is so good that I am still sitting here after eating & have to review it immediately ! Best atmosphere & the nicest little location. The kind of québécois joint that makes this le belle province. We can’t wait to come back !!! Thank you !

Super bonne adresse, vous pouvez y allez les yeux fermés !
Les portion sont copieuse & les cuisinier savent faire cuire les affaires (frites parfaite, viande exactement comme attendus, produits de qualités). Les prix sont en revanche plus élevé que dans un fast-food classique. Mais bon à un moment il faut payer pour la qualité.
(Même si en vrais la c'est quand même un peu chère)
Seul point négatif : le restaurant est vraiment petit, il y a donc peu de place assise & seulement 2 grandes tables pour les groupe. Donc si vous êtes un groupe appellez avant.
The owner or manager or some really nasty greasy disgruntled bossy guy was belittling one of the other employees in front of me & the other patrons while we waited for our food. I dunno how someone can carry such a heavy chip on their shoulder when they're the most treacherous part of their own life!
Buona hamburgeria con birre artigianali che fa anche altri piatti. Non molto estesa né fantasiosa la selezione di panini che sono piuttosto canonici ma sicuramente cucinati a dovere. Non vi cambierà la vita ma sicuramente mangerete dei panini a cui non si può dire proprio nulla.
No idea why Tousignant isn’t rated higher! Locally recommended smash burger diner, known for burgers (of course) & their hot dogs. Simple menu, well executed with a causal jazz tunes playing in the background.
Very short waiting time ~5mins for x2 cheese burgers & poutine.
What’s more to ask?
My favourite burger joint in Montreal. The patties are crispy & juicy, perfectly toasted bun, toppings complement the beefiness of the meat. I always get the double cheese but I mistakenly ordered the wrong item yesterday. The very friendly & warm staff promptly made generous accommodations for me & made sure that I enjoyed my meal. Very grateful & glad I came here for the last meal in Montreal on this trip. Looking forward to returning again!
