It’s fast food, but made to order. The result of a late-night chat, and a handful of cooks. Who wanted to put the salt back in the butter. A bag of cheese curds that goes with supper. Assembled hot dogs, made proper. And fine toppings on a beautiful burger. But! You must order from the counter, and get up again when it’s ready to gather, except on weekends, and only for coffee (maybe with sugar). Prepared like it was meant to be, no fodder. Simple & flavourful , they do a killer poutine , the poutine gravy must have chicken broth , sauce does not taste salty. & fries are great too. Don't miss it!

Une expérience en général était bonne, le service est très rapide & les employés sont aimables. Le Burger est un peu trop salé surtout la viande. Le hot dog n'a pas vraiment de saucisse de qualité & la poutine est bonne sans plus. N'essayez pas le milkshake à la vanille car il a le goût de l'eau, du moins celui que j'ai eu. Je recommande car c'est à essayer c'est bien mieux que la majorité des petites cantines.
I came in with high expectations. They were not met. The food was okay. A decent cheeseburger (bread was mushy), a decent poutine (gravy seemed old) I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. There were no paper towels in the toilet. Overall, a generous 3 stars.
Went with my son. He had the Tousignant poutine. It was good but small for 18$. I took the double burger. It was very good. I would of probably eaten 2. They also have beers. Seating arrangements are a little tight. Staff was friendly.

Went there for the first time. Tried the double cheese burger & the Tousignant burger. Both were very good sized considering smash burgers are often very small. Both were very satisfying but the double cheeseburger was a tad salty. Also tried the regular poutine & it was very good. Fries, cheese curds & gravy were well put together. Perfect ratios. Regular hot dog was good also but does not taste like a regular hot dog. I think the meat was chicken. I don't usually order hot dogs but wanted to try it. I wish they had onion rings. I would definitely go back as the food was very satisfying at a reasonable price & the quality of the ingredients was apparent. The service was also excellent & friendly.
Je fréquente ce petit restaurant de quartier depuis son ouverture. Le rapport qualité/prix était excellent. J'ai fait une longue pause avant d'y retourner (fermeture le midi en semaine depuis la covid). Ça ne collait plus avec mes disponibilités. Selon moi on y servait les meilleurs hamburger / frite / poutine du quartier. En fin de semaine, j'y suis retourné, avec ma famille Je n'ai pas reconnu le restaurant d'avant. Le service à la caisse était minimaliste & les prix ont explosés, comme ailleurs, mais en pire !!! Mon petit garçon de 7 ans a commandé le hot-dog. Il a reçu une saucisse inondée de ketchup trônant sur un misérable pain pour la modique somme de 7,25$+tx+tip. Pas de cornichon, de chou ou quoique ce soit d'autre, juste une rivière de ketchup. Il m'a dit « c'est ça le hot-dog de chez Tousignant ? ». J'ai demandé pourquoi il n'était pas garni, on m'a répondu parce que je ne l'avais pas demandé... la caissière n'a même pas envisagé me proposer de le compléter. Notez qu'il en coûte 3,25 pour agrémenter sa frite de la fameuse sauce Tousignant...Je suis vraiment attristé de voir ce qu'est devenu mon restau de burger préféré. Je n'y retournerai plus.

Des prix totalement débile pour certains items au menu. Hey 6$ un pogo, 7$ un hot-dog régulier, 18$ pour une gramde poutine. C'est totalement rire dans la face du monde. Revenez sur terre avec prix. Je ne recommande pas cet endroit. Allez ailleurs tant que les prix seront aussi élevés.
A very convenient & nice restaurant right next to the Jean Talon Market. The poutine was amazing & the cheeseburgers were very good. Love the interior which has the diner vibe & very clean. They have a high hair which was very convenient but the entrance was not very accessible.
Poutine review only! Heard great things about Chez Tousignant's poutine & was excited to try it! Overall pretty decent. I liked the seasoning on the fries which you typically don't see, & altogether the flavour was good. Ratios are where it fell short for me. It could definitely use more gravy & at least another half layer of curds. Given the price & my preferences, there's a decent list of other spots I'd get my poutine fix at, but their burgers & dogs look incredible so I'd stop by again to try those!
