The salmon tartare was great, slightly sour & very creamy, but the duck confit was amazing! A wonderful sweet salty sauce & soft duck with crispy skin. Would recommend!
Honnêtement j'écris jamais de mauvais avis sur un restaurant mais on a vraiment été déçu. On y a mangé en 2025 & la qualité était bien supérieur. Nous sommes revenus pour la formule du midi & c'était déception sur déception. Le tartare de boeuf en entrée était rempli de câpre, ça goûtait même plus la viande. Les raviolis ricotta canard confit étaient trop sucré, j'avais l'impression de manger un dessert. & le dessert au red velvet ne goûtait même pas le red velvet, il goûtait plus le frigo. Malgré ma plainte au manager, il nous a dit qu'on aurait dû demander à changer nos plats si ils nous plaisaient pas. Aucun geste commercial à la fin. Vraiment déçu.
We dined at Chez Lionel on a weekend evening. The food was ok - but not up to par for what we paid. The steak tartare was weirdly seasoned, duck confit sauce stuck to the plate which was too hot, salmon tartare was bland, ravioli undercooked & grainy, & creme brulee was the thinnest I've ever seen. The restaurant is beautiful, but the quality could be improved.

Went for lunch on December 23rd. The price was $42 for 3 course lunch & it was phenomenal.
For appetizers, we got the lobster bisque & beef tartare. Bisque was nice & beef tartare was a fun experience to eat. Would probably order something else for it since it was out top choice in term of taste but it was a fun experience.
Main entree was duck confit & the chicken Dijon. Both were amazing. The duck confit was tender & skin was crispy. The other ingredients in the dish was delicious. The chicken Dijon was creamy & flavourful. Highly recommend these two dishes.
Dessert was fresh & light. Not too sweet. It had raspberry, vanilla cream & sponge cake. It was the dessert of the day so others might get something different.
Service was great & they were kind & it didn't felt weird for us to eat there while wearing sweat pants. We definitely had people looking at us, might be because of what we wore.
The bread they gave as a complimentary was hard & not really fresh(it felt it was out for a bit too long) but the butter with it was good.
Belle ambiance, juste avant un match du Canadiens. Mais réservez, c'était plein & les personnes sans réservations étaient refusées.
Coté repas, la salade au fromage de chèvre & bettraves était goûteuse & la portion raisonnable. Fortement recommandée!
Par contre, la salade emulsion à l'ail confit avec lardon & pomme verte était non seulement plus petite (trop petite) mais elle ne goûtait rien. Il n'y avait que 4 ou 5 minuscules juliennes de pomme, la vinaigrette était pratiquement absente, l'ail confit absent au goût & à l'odeur. Finalement, une simple salade césar manquant de sauce. Ça ne vaut pas 16$, à éviter!
Le risotto aux fruits de mer était excellent! & la crème brûlée également.
Crowded & vibrant vibe. Service very good. Oysters were fresh. Fois grais & devil eggs very good. Steak with fries good. Ravioli good. Only disappointment was the duck confit which was too dry but sauce was very good.
Really nice restaurant that I would like to try a second time. The vibe is quite French.
The dishes were fine, but I felt like something was missing in the confit canard. The salad was really good, though. & the service is impeccable: they are kind & quick.
It was nearly empty when we went, so it was quiet & it felt exclusive.
