Visited Chez Lionel Brossard last night & was very disappointed. We ordered the lobster bisque, escargot & a steak - all three dishes were overwhelmingly salty to the point where they were barely enjoyable. It wasn't a subtle seasoning issue, it was consistent across every dish we ordered which was surprising for a restaurant at this price point. Expected much better given the reputation. Will not be returning.
Patrick was our waiter. Very personable & attentive, & informative about the menu. The surf & turf special was excellent. Had the seafood risotto on our previous visit & almost ordered it again because it was so good. But, variety is the spice of life. I'm guessing anything on the menu would be delicious. Patrick spoke glowingly about the tarte tatin on the dessert menu & I can speak glowingly about how good it was.
La nourriture était excellente
& le service wow ... nous avons été servi par Patrick... vraiment il a été un gros plus à notre expérience. Sympathique, attentionné, poli ... une très belle soirée... notre 3e fois Chez Lionel, jamais déçu & nous reviendrons 😁

Délicieux brunch sucré !
Nous avons savouré le pain doré avec la purée de pommes & les quartiers de pommes. C'était divin. Le crumble croquant est une belle touche & le bacon était cuit à la perfection. J'étais heureuse de mon ajout d'eufs brouillés à la texture aérienne. Franchement, tout était plaisant & succulent. On a juste hâte d'y retourner.
I went there twice. The first time, I sat at the bar & ordered from the regular menu, & it was really good. The second time was for Valentine's Day, when we had the special Valentine's menu. The food wasn't as great as the first time, though I understand it might have been because it was a busy night. The oysters with passion fruit sauce were not great. However, the service was impeccable & they took very good care of us.
The restaurant is located in a building with limited parking outside. However, you can also park inside the building, & it's free.
We were 3 couples for dinner on a Saturday night. As Chez Lionel this is part of a chain, we were not so sure if it would be a good experience, & of course sometimes the pictures on web do not make justice to what you see. We were all very impressed with the nice decoration, impeccable service & excellent food. Of note was that the noise level what just fine nd we all could entertain conversation, which is rare these days. Congrats ! We will surely come back.
Le temps & l'espace pour bien profiter de la soirée dans une atmosphère détendue & confortable. Nourriture succulente, mocktails exquis, service impeccable. La chimie a opéré ;)

Nous étions 6 & nous avons bien aimé notre soirée. Le service était bien mais aurait pu être plus chaleureux. Les plats étaient bon & diversifié mais trop salés par contre.
