I had such a great experience at Chez José Café. From the moment I walked in, the staff were super nice, welcoming, & genuinely friendly, which made the whole visit feel warm & relaxed.
I personally tried the egg tart with tea, & it was amazing, definitely a highlight & something I'd come back for. My friend also tried the salad & the matcha, & both were really good & well prepared.
What really stands out about this café is the atmosphere. The design is so unique, from the outside to the inside, you can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. It has a cozy & creative vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
Everything felt very clean & well maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a special & cozy café in Montreal. I'll definitely be coming back!

Super cute place & incredible food! The owner was so nice, staff super friendly (thanks again for the lighter), & the decor is homey. Lots of vegetarian options too, highly recommend!
Delicious food with fantastic service. My partner is Celiac & they took her allergy very seriously, making sure there was zero cross contamination. I highly recommend
THE BEST PART IS WILL!!!!! Best server EVER!!! He is absolutely hilarious & caring & professional! This restaurant was recommended by a friend in NYC & we walked an hour to get here. Worth every step! The food was amazing, the drinks & atmosphere & vibe too!!! Highly recommend!!!!! Thank you
This place was one of the highlights of our visit to Montreal. The food & atmosphere were exquisite & Will was an incredible host who took great care of us the whole time. Highly recommend.

We came for brunch. The wait was not long at all. The food was delicious & the service was impeccable. The weekend seafood soup is a must try. Sarah, the owner, was so sweet & efficient. I highly recommend!
We had a great mid-afternoon hang at Chez José. They were gracious to accommodate our large party of 6, but it is a very small place & we felt bad. They assured us all was well & treated very kindly with loving vibes. The food was excellent. Crepes, Portuguese stew, full Portuguese breakfast, pastel de nata (as good or better than Lisbon's ...). All excellent! Highly recommend!
I had the Déjeuner Portugais Avec Viande for breakfast & it was absolutely delicious-so flavorful! The waitress who recommended it was super friendly, & the freshly squeezed orange juice was a perfect touch. Highly recommend this spot for a great breakfast!

One of the best cafes I've ever been to! It was quiet at night & the owner was letting us choose some music to play with the few others there. He was incredibly welcoming & then also gave us our teas on the house! Will 100% be back & highly recommend for anyone looking for a cute cafe to eat, drink or chill at :)
I had a wonderful breakfast experience! The food was delicious & well-prepared, but what truly stood out was the amazing service. The waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, & made us feel so welcome. Her warm attitude added a special touch to our meal. Highly recommend this place for a great start to your day!

Went for brunch on a Saturday & had to wait a bit to be seated but it was worth it! The ambiance is very fun with a lot of humorous unserious decorations, the food was delicious & well served. I highly recommend the "Yé ou Burt" omelette, which comes with cheese, chouriço, potatoes & mushrooms. It was divine & the portion was very big.
Went here for dinner on a Thursday night. Genuinely one of the best meals ive had in montreal. Highly recommend the quesadilla. The mexican crepes came recommended from the waiter- my friend got this & loved it. At this time of the day they also have a cocktail & wine list.
Unbelievable place! Everyone should go here! The food was some of the best we've had the whole trip here & our server Will made our entire night! Stunning service & such a friendly personality! I highly recommend ANY of the meal crepes, especially the chorizo, & there's plenty of vegetarian & vegan options as well. Go here for a super eclectic & fun vibe with phenomenal food!
Love this little place, it came highly recommended for breakfast & since I was alone, I was able to jump the line & get right in! The coffee was AMAZING & the meal was delicious, there were fresh nata's behind me too. Gem of a place.
