Super nice cafe, with great food & amazing service. Hard to pick from the menu but I'd be down to come back & try multiple things. I got the Portuguese platter & my friends go the breakfast sandwiches. Gorgeous interior, & our server was the best. Be ready to wait on the weekend as with any brunch spot, just make sure to add your name on the waitlist before arriving. :)
Amazing spot, food was delicious, portions are generous, & service is fast. We had the Portuguese breakfast comes with potatoes, chorizo, peppers, tomato, salad, & bread, so good. It's a bit tight inside (you'll be sitting close to others) & seating is limited, so expect a line depending on the time.

la bouffe l'acceuil le service le serveur toujours de bonne humeur & l'ambiance du lieux meilleur restaurant ou j'ai jamais manger🤝 il m'ont proposer un dessert qui était tous simplement le meilleur de toute ma vie
This cafe was brilliant we had the Mexican crepe & the chocolate crepe which were absolutely a blast the salad that they gave for the price of the meal was a excellent deal & definitely worth it. The atmosphere was small but the rustic & detailed interior made up for it. The service & staff were so kind & amazing they helped us make amazing vegetarian & non vegetarian choices & helped to change the meat to a vegetarian option, my son had an amazing time & the waiter was so nice to him & it was a blast. Honestly this has to be a five star cafe.

Nice cafe. Food is excellent, I highly recommend it. Coffee is good. Portions are very filling. The space is limited, but cozy. I will definitely be back.

I had such a great experience at Chez José Café. From the moment I walked in, the staff were super nice, welcoming, & genuinely friendly, which made the whole visit feel warm & relaxed.
I personally tried the egg tart with tea, & it was amazing, definitely a highlight & something I'd come back for. My friend also tried the salad & the matcha, & both were really good & well prepared.
What really stands out about this café is the atmosphere. The design is so unique, from the outside to the inside, you can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. It has a cozy & creative vibe that makes you want to stay longer.
Everything felt very clean & well maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable.
Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a special & cozy café in Montreal. I'll definitely be coming back!

Le service est impeccable, rapide & vraiment accueillant. La diversité du menu est excellente & on sent le petit côté portugais authentique qui rend l'endroit encore plus charmant.
J'ai eu la chance de croiser la propriétaire : super efficace, souriante & attentionnée avec les clients.

Chez Jose nails it every single time. Every visit is as good as the first (if not better). Fresh & delicious! This is easily one of my favorite gems in the Plateau!
