This one of the most authentic Korean restaurants you can find in Montreal! Ive tried all their specialties & everything is so tasty! This is a family own business who cooks food with love & gives a warm service. I recommended it to everyone! 😊
Amazing food! I don't know much about Korean food, but I know it's delicious! Try the spicy chicken & something that looks like a pancake!
Ambiance chaleureuse & familiale Service très courtois, très professionnel, on nous propose des repas savoureux selon nos goûts & avec une immense gentillesse. La nourriture est délectable & remplie de saveurs. Je le conseille à tous!
Everything was great!! the food was, hands down, some of the best I've had in Montreal. the service was also on par with the meal. I also really liked the atmosphere of the place which felt very welcoming & cozy. Can't recommend enough & will definitely be back!
What a delightful meal we had delivered! The black bean noodles were very savory & served in a hearty portion, the tteokbokki was just the right level of sweet for our tastes, & the bulgogi was well seasoned & succulent. Very happy to have discovered this gem, we're keen to try the food on-site next time :) I want to quickly thank whichever employee drew a lovely Howl's Moving Castle reference on our delivery bag, it really made our night! Appreciate that you took the time out of your evening to doodle this for a strange
I tried their half-&-half noodle (no.3) to sample both types, but it unfortunately didn't meet expectations. It seemed they aimed for a healthier version compared to Korean Chinese restaurants in Korea. The black bean noodle was less sugary, & the spicy seafood noodle had fewer chili oils. Whether it was an average day or not, the noodle portion was surprisingly small for its cost; the black bean noodle barely had onions, & only one tiny pork piece was included. It's unfortunate that Montreal lacks a standout Korean Chinese restaurant.
Best kimchi jigae ever! Fried chicken with sauce is also good! Definitely gonna revisit
사천탕수육 is sweet & really delicious ! (Not spicy) 짬뽕 is also not spicy !!
You get the authentic food flavors when you go there. Never disappointed!
Interesting place to try some traditional style Korean food! The weak point of this restaurant was actually some of the food. It was very disappointing & unappetizing. However, some meat dishes looked great! Dietary restrictions were not their strength. The freshness didn't stand out to me either in the side dishes or the main dish I tried, Japchae Bab. I did appreciate them making the dish with tofu as there were only 2 options for vegetarians to eat, off the menu. Although some dishes were made as soon as the order went in, there were a few that sat & cooked all day long. Some of the food that could be easily altered to suit guests, couldn't be remade due to using the same big stew they cook all-day long; Particularly, the kimchi stew which can be made fresh in 5-10 mins & is not normally a stew that sits'all-day long'. It was unclear, why did they not decide to cook all the food fresh? Not only would fresh dishes ensure the quality & taste, it would elevate their restaurant. Fresh food would make dealing with any dietary restrictions easier. Having flexibility with their guests is important for any food establishment, & it was unfortunate I didn't see that this time. The atmosphere reminded me of a seniors home - The decor seemed outdated with no particular theme connecting to the restaurant. I could see some elements of Korean culture but it was in the background rather than the foreground representing what type of restaurant it was. The highlight, was definitely the staff as they were absolutely exceptional! They easily explained the menu & helped with any concerns I had with the food. Overall, it was so-so. I think fresh food would bring more traffic to the place along with revamping the decor.
Good Korean food. Nice side dishes. I hope the menu could have more variety. Otherwise five stars!
Ok food, nothing special. Fried porc tasted like Thai Express food which isn't good.
The atmosphere was great & staff was friendly.
We tried the seafood pancake, ji gae & fried chicken.
Seafood pancake was deceiving, it was not crispy, too much batter & not enough garnish like vegetables or seafood.
Ji gae was only ok.
Fried chicken was not as expected, i feel like other places have a crispy batter but not at this restaurant.
Found this amazing restaurant while going to school & it became my family's favorite restaurant. Warm , cosy restaurant & amazing staff & food. Thank you ,Chez Bong 🔥.
I got the half jjamppong & half jjajangmyeong. The jjajangmyeong was good the jjampong tasted like Shin ramyun with a little bit of extra seasoning. Didn't have the seafoody smoky flavor of jjampong at all. Side dishes were good & more flavorful than the jjamppong. Service was great. The place looks cute too, a bit too dark inside.
