Absolutely my favourite Korean restaurant! 🥰 Their fried chicken is crispy perfection, the rose jjampong is rich & flavourful, the tangsuyuk is perfectly balanced between sweet & tangy, & the jjajangmyeon is pure comfort in a bowl. They always serve tasty side dishes that make the meal even better. I've been coming here for years, & every visit has been consistently delicious. Finally leaving a review because they truly deserve it, highly recommend!
Hope they bring back their truffle jjajangmyeon because I enjoyed it a lot!

We craved for traditional korean dishes, so decided to try Chez Bong since we were walking down the block.

our waitress very friendly & gave us a great service, food came out real quick ( it was not busy on a saturday afternoon, also that day was beautiful outside so that explains why probably)

My friend & I ordered a stir-fried spicy pork dish & a stir-fried bulgogi & a side of korean fried dumplings, we enjoyed our food. it came with small side dishes

the only thing i would suggest is to maybe put some more ambiance because we couldn't talk normally, we had to whisper not for others to listen ( it was that quiet)

I would definitely go back to try their other dishes!

Nothing fancy or new. Just another Korean restaurant. It's small & boring. A brown stone turned into a restaurant. Food was ok could be better. Bibimbap was bit plain, oh & who puts shredded lettuce in bibimbap?!?! Stews were bit boring, bit sweet & blend. Chintzy on the side dishes, just three items & extra cost for refills. Overall it's a bit boring for my taste.

I've gone a few times by now, & their jjajangmyeon & jjamppong always hit the spot! The tangsuyuk is on the sweeter side. The side dishes are also unlimited.

Interesting place to try some traditional style Korean food! The weak point of this restaurant was actually some of the food. It was very disappointing & unappetizing. However, some meat dishes looked great! Dietary restrictions were not their strength. The freshness didn't stand out to me either in the side dishes or the main dish I tried, Japchae Bab. I did appreciate them making the dish with tofu as there were only 2 options for vegetarians to eat, off the menu. Although some dishes were made as soon as the order went in, there were a few that sat & cooked all day long. Some of the food that could be easily altered to suit guests, couldn't be remade due to using the same big stew they cook all-day long; Particularly, the kimchi stew which can be made fresh in 5-10 mins & is not normally a stew that sits'all-day long'. It was unclear, why did they not decide to cook all the food fresh? Not only would fresh dishes ensure the quality & taste, it would elevate their restaurant. Fresh food would make dealing with any dietary restrictions easier. Having flexibility with their guests is important for any food establishment, & it was unfortunate I didn't see that this time. The atmosphere reminded me of a seniors home - The decor seemed outdated with no particular theme connecting to the restaurant. I could see some elements of Korean culture but it was in the background rather than the foreground representing what type of restaurant it was. The highlight, was definitely the staff as they were absolutely exceptional! They easily explained the menu & helped with any concerns I had with the food. Overall, it was so-so. I think fresh food would bring more traffic to the place along with revamping the decor.

Good Korean food. Nice side dishes. I hope the menu could have more variety. Otherwise five stars!

I got the half jjamppong & half jjajangmyeong. The jjajangmyeong was good the jjampong tasted like Shin ramyun with a little bit of extra seasoning. Didn't have the seafoody smoky flavor of jjampong at all. Side dishes were good & more flavorful than the jjamppong. Service was great. The place looks cute too, a bit too dark inside.
