Absolutely incredible experience at Chateau Kebab West Island in Montreal!

From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth, respect, & genuine hospitality. The staff are some of the most welcoming & friendly people you'll ever meet-they truly make you feel at home specially the owner of restaurant who welcoming everyone & take care of all details .

The restaurant itself is beautiful on the inside. The decoration is tasteful , the setting is well thought-out, & the tables & chairs are comfortable, clean, & stylish. It creates a perfect atmosphere whether you're dining alone, with family, or hosting guests.

& the food? Absolutely outstanding. This is, without question, some of the best Arabic food in Canada. Everything is halal, professionally prepared, & full of authentic Iraqi flavor-especially their barbecue dishes with other international dishes . The presentation is stunning, & whether you're dining in or ordering takeaway, the quality is always top-notch. It's also perfect for home gatherings or celebrations.

& what really sets Chateau Kebab West Island apart is how affordable everything is. The prices are incredibly reasonable considering the quality of the food, the presentation, & the exceptional service.

I recently visited Chateau kebab & ordered two family plates, & I must say, the experience was excellent from start to finish. The food quality was top-notch - everything was fresh, flavorful, & well-prepared. Each item on the plate was tasty & satisfying, & the portion sizes were generous, making it great value for the price.

The restaurant environment was also very pleasant. It was clean, well-maintained, & had a comfortable, welcoming vibe that made the dining experience even better. It's clear that the staff takes pride in keeping the place tidy & organized.

What really stood out to me was the service. Both the waiter & waitress were incredibly polite, friendly, & attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive, & they were more than happy to answer questions & make recommendations. Their professionalism & warmth added a lot to the overall experience.

All in all, Shaki kebab delivered on all fronts - quality food, great service, & a clean, inviting space. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for authentic & delicious Middle Eastern cuisine. I'll definitely be returning for another great meal in the near future!View more

There are times we have driven by Chateau kebab .. many over the years. Wednesday we finally had the opportunity to dine there. We were a group of twelve , seated in a side alcove, perfect for the group. Twelve gentlemen who have known each other since elementary & high school in the East End. We were warmly welcomed by the professional team there. Orders taken , food … absolutely delicious. The menu choices have selections for all tastes & budgets. The Lentil Soup was one of the best we ever experienced! Perfect balance of spiced , taste & texture outstanding, no need for any extra seasoning! Our selection was the Filet Mignon & the Spicy kebab with rice , grilled tomato & onions…. Superb plating, all cooked to perfection! Generous portioning! C'est toujours un plaisir de manger à Château kebab, ça goûte toujours la même chose, toujours frais, le repas nous arrive chaud à table & surtout c'est très savoureux. Les entrées sont délicieuses sans exception & bien présentées incluant la soupe aux lentilles & la samoussa au fromage. Le pain tanour est tendre, frais & goûte très très bon. & que dire du goût de la Mirza Kasemi, wow, mes papilles gustatives sont aux anges à chaque fois que j'en mange, je n'ai jamais mangé ce mélange d'aubergines ailleurs qu'au Château kebab, j'adore ce met traditionnel au goût unique. La grillade mixte était très savoureuse, ma famille & moi nous sommes bien régalés. Le thé traditionnel était le must de notre souper familial, une touche traditionnelle qui donne vraiment un plus au restaurant. Merciii beaucoup!! Le restaurant a une nouvelle décoration & l'ambiance est très sympathique, calme & accueillante. I had the pleasure of hosting my family at Chateau kebab restaurant yesterday, with around 47 to 50 people, to celebrate the end of Ramadan. This wasn't my first visit, & I had requested a special meal, different from the usual offerings, to make the occasion even more memorable.

I must say, all of my guests were truly impressed by the quality & abundance of the food, as well as the impeccable service provided by the staff, especially considering that they were all fasting. I had specifically requested that the appetizers, main courses, & condiments be served all at once, & I was amazed at how efficiently the staff managed to deliver everything in such a timely manner. It was truly remarkable.

I highly recommend Chateau kebab to anyone looking for both excellent food & outstanding service. To clarify, I am not personally connected to the owners in any way. Over the course of Ramadan, we dined at a different restaurant each weekend, & without a doubt, the service at Chateau kebab has been the best we've experienced.

From start to finish, the experience was excellent, & we couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate such a special day. The restaurant accommodated our party of 50 with ease, providing a cozy yet elegant atmosphere that felt intimate & inviting. The staff were very helpful for accomadating our needs & served food on our schedule. The food - which consisted of chicken, beef, & lamb skewers with rice was delicious! Our friend took us to Chateau kebab in DDO for my husband's retirement celebration. We ordered Mixed Kafta Grills. We asked for all 7 brochettes with Chicken. It was so delicious. (You can order your choice of meat for 7 brochettes). It was served with salad or soup, rice, fries, garlic potatoes & hummus. Garlic potatoes & hummus was amazing with pita. Salad was very fresh. Rice was very good. Kids loved hot fries. We also got free tea after dinner, which was very refreshing too. It was first time for my husband & I. Thanks to our friend who took us there. Food got delivered ahead of schedule, portions are VERY generous, food quality is fantastic, options were available for our folks with dietary restrictions! We go frequently to Chateau Kebab for lunch or dinner the food is always consistent & delicious, service amazing & the owner always so welcoming . But we had the opportunity to have IFTAR of Ramadan last night, April 3 & we were worried that it might be a bit chaotic BUT Everything was SUPER organized, the tables were already preset with dates, water, Jellab, hummus & salad - the soup was served 2 to 3 minutes prior to Azan & the main dish which was served family size mixed Kebab & rice & potatoes was to die for - i wish i could have eaten more but when your fasting it is a bit hard :) them came the tea & the desserts that were delicious . THe service was so fast the crews at the restaurant are so nice & patient even though it was a full house & willing to assist with any request we had . This is the place to go for a casual or for a group of guests that you want to impress. thank you Chateau Kebab !!View more

For more than 42 years in Montreal & have gone through hundreds of restaurants, to my full satisfaction, but our ( me & my wife ) yesterday's experience at Chateau kebab in Pierrefonds, Quebec was the most disastrous one. I cannot describe our frustration with the food served. I had ordered & kebab Soltani, whereas my wife decided to have a portion of Koubideh. The rice anything but not " Basmati " as shown on the menu, had an old & bad smell. My wife's Koubideh tasted like a piece of cooked leather, & my Soltani, was made from any given part of beef, but not filet or counter filet. I looked & tasted as a very hard piece of roast beef. In a nutshell not something to be consumed by human being. Having said that, I also would like to add, that we are from Iran, & believe you me, we do have a pretty good idea about Kababas, & this was anything....., but.

This is an objective (deep dive) review of chateau kebab West Island

Let's talk about food variations:
Since this is an Iraqi / Iranian / Mediterranean speciality restaurant, you will find the appetizer menu full of mixed dishes that taste very good from that region. Some of which taste very close to home made dishes. I pretty much tasted all of them.

In terms of the grills menu , it has literally Iraqi & Iranian Kebabs as well as spicy ones. Since taste is subjective , I won't get into how much I love it ;)

Family meal variations:
They have about 6 family specials.

Traditional food:
They have traditional dishes (dish of the day) on the menu that includes Zereshk polo , baghali polo & another that are Iranian , they also have 3 more dishes such as Quazi that is an Iraqi style dish with a lamb shank.

They also have vegetarian,Vegan (dairy free) & Gluten Free dishes ;)

Parking spots:
The parking is not too small nor big so it's good to arrive early if you are looking for a Dine-in experience.

Prices:
Make sure to check out the right menu when you are ordering food. Online prices for take out / pickup & delivery are different than those for Dine-In. Also they have lunch specials menu from 11 am to 3 pm which is good for many who are working or on the run. Just check their website for the right menu.

Service:
If you are looking for a top notch service like 5 star hotel. You can maybe call in a head of time to request such service however service is a subjective matter where some people are high maintenance & other are low maintenance. During rush/ busy times, the service can slow down than usual times. Staff will be trying their best to get the delicious food to your table while the chief is preparing these home made style meals. Also service depends on priority so if you arrive at a time when there are 10 people in-front of you then you will have to wait until your food is ready.

Special requests:
I am amazed how the owner is flexible to honor special requests. I did have special events that were held in the restaurant & out side the restaurant that were successful 100% (everyone was very happy with the food & service). The trick is to arrange these events with the owner.

Reservation:
The reservation system is open online to reserve however you need to wait for the restaurant confirmation to guarantee your reservation. If you have special requests, they should be mentioned in the reservation form. If your guests are late, the restaurant service will fall back to first come first served meaning that the restaurant will serve who is available in the restaurant until your guests arrive.

Summer time:
They have a nice outside area (terrasse). They also have a prayer area.

I had my 50th birthday dinner party & my son's 16th birthday dinner party at Chateau kebab West Island January 12th 2019...we were over 40 people at the restaurant for the dinner party...as usual...the food was incredible, the staff were very friendly & efficient...& the owner made sure everything was perfect...& it was. I have eaten at almost all the top restaurants in & around Montreal...& i have to say this again...Chateau kebab West Island is still our favorite place too eat...it is so good we even came back the next day (January 13th) for another AMAZING & beautifully cooked meal!

***Thanks again to all the staff that served all of us at my 50th dinner party...& we will be looking forward to eating there again next week!
