A cocktail place i guess? Clearly not a'food' place as the dishes were pretty mid.

The tacos dorados were basic & the Mixto Molcajete shared 70$ plate had too many fried things & not enough vegetables considering there were supposed to be some (there was guacamole & beans but that's the bare minimum). Not worth it at all considering the price.

The atmosphere is nice but that is pretty much it. The service took forever.

Les plats sont très chers pour ce que c'est. Sur le menu ils indiquent que les plats sont faits maison, mais on nous a servi du surgelé.
Nous avons attendu 1heure pour être servis bien que le restaurant n'était pas rempli. Nous avons en effet reçu quelques attentions pendant cette attente, cependant nous aurions apprécié des explications ou des excuses pour ce temps d'attente.
Lorsque nos assiettes sont arrivées, nous avons remarqué qu'il manquait un oeuf dans l'assiette de mon amie. La serveuse nous l'a apporté après que nous ayons demandé.

If I could give extra credit stars I would. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars. I am visiting a friend in Montreal from California. I never expected to experience fine Mexican cuisine. Casa Azul Montreal blew us away. The atmosphere is perfect for any occasion, but especially a date night I would say, it is incredible. Lots of space, amazing decor & indoor plants. My friend & I ordered: Tuetanos, Tamarind Margaritas, Limon Daiquiri, Passionfruit Mezcal drink, the Fried crispy tacos, & the enchiladas (mine pollo my friend's vegetarian). The staff were all friendly & attentive. The home made chili oil salsa was world class. I even got to meet the chef. He is humble & gracious & that man can cook. Words fall utterly short. You need to visit this restaurant if you want Mexican food in Montreal.

Chicken bones in the cold enchilada. Tiny portions. (A palm-sized dish of rice with the fajita.) No discernible tequila in the margaritas. Took 1.5 hrs for food to arrive. Didn't bring the appetizer, then tried to charge for it. The only time in my 50 years of living I have not left a tip. Overpriced to boot. Don't do it.
