A surprisingly wonderful breakfast spot we just happened to find north of our hotel. In MY opinion it certainly rivals the traditional old Montreal bakery cafes north of Mount Royal...& is easier to get to!!!!
Open early at 8 a.m. to late until 11 p.m. & very close to McGill this would be a constant if I was a Montrealer.
Lovely , open & plenty of seating options including a HUGE patio which must be lovely in warmer months.
The food is exceptional with generous portions of lox & avocados in what I believe are St. Viateur bagels & a delicious fresh salad (which I have never had for breakfast but was delightful!!!).
Servers were friendly & efficient & it was a pleasure to speak personally to the manager who actually WORKS there with his crew!!!! Refreshing to see!!!!
Thanks to all at Cafe St. Barth for this terrific Montreal meal & memory!!!! I'm sure this would be even prettier at night & in WARMER weather!!
Really enjoyed the atmosphere & the meal (I got the avocado eggs benedict), but the hazelnut frappe was overpriced & too sugary. Most of the servers & cashier were very sweet, but one of the waitresses kept rushing my friend & I, & kept pushing us to not take a table by the window & instead go to a smaller one in the middle, even though there were plenty of available spots for other clients. Still, the decor is lovely & the eggs benedict, super tasty!
This place is the best!!! I love the food & everything!!!!! I had St-Barth avocado Benedict. That was 10/10!!
Amazing we came there for breakfast & got an omelet & some avocado toast. It was amazing.
I'm so glad we stopped here for breakfast! The latte was the best I had in Montréal. So smooth, rich, perfect ammount of lavender flavor & perfectly made. I also loved the atmosphere. They offer discounts to college students, so the café was full of students working & collaborating, which gave the place such a lively & hip vibe. It made me nostalgic for my own college days! Our breakfast was delightful. My partner ordered the waffle, whcuh was actually three little waffles so cutely presented & came with a generous serving of fresh fruit & delicious whipped cream/maple syrup. Of course, I had to take a bite. I had the avocado toast with eggs, which was more like guacamole toast, but it was flavorful & satisfying. The waitstaff was friendly & attentive. I'd definitely recommend this spot for a cozy, delicious start to your day in Montréal!
Great food & service. We ordered the Eggs Benny & the Feta Avocado toast based on our server's recommendation & they were both spectacular! highly recommend
Nothing stands out but nothing is off either. Good when indecisive, but be prepared to wait for the bill - not the food. Lox & avocado toast is tasty but a bit messy to eat.
Absolutely amazing brunch. Got a smoked salmon & avocado bagel, which was so so so good... sesame seed bagel absolutely ate & the side salad was so tasty, had a vinegar, lemon dressing 🤤🤤🤤. Great atmosphere & vibes with speedy & friendly service!
This cafe is a great place for brunch - avocado toast was delicious. It's cheerful & welcoming. A nice little independent place to escape for a while.
These people messed up waffles. How does one mess up waffles? My husband & I came here on Christmas eve morning because many other breakfast places were closed & this one seemed to be open. First of all, we sat there for an extremely long time before anyone attended to us even though the restaurant was not that busy. Our food looked deceivingly good, but was extremely disappointing to taste. I ordered an avocado eggs benedict which was extremely average, & my husband got some sort of breakfast bagel. He was also extremely disappointed. We thought why not refresh our taste buds & get some belgian waffles? The waffles came, they looked beautiful. I take my fork & knife & try to dig into a piece...I nearly break the plate trying to do so. The waffle was rock hard. It wasn't cold? So we assumed they were not frozen, they were just extremely bland & hurt our teeth to chew. My husband paid $50 for our meals & was extremely disappointed
My friends & I had brunch here last weekend. We loved how fresh our food tasted. I had the vegan avocado toast & iced oat milk latte; they were both delicious. It is an aesthetically cute cafe, especially with the accents of nature throughout the place.
Amazing breakfast spot! The food was delicious, especially the waffles, avocado toast, & bagels. The staff was friendly & the atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend
Adorable cafe with a bright atmosphere & plenty of plants. The servers were very friendly & attentive. Ordered the classic breakfast & the St Barth benedict with avocado. Never thought to have an eggs benedict on a croissant & WOW it was so delicious. Highly recommend the matcha latte too, very smooth & well balanced. Awesome cafe, really enjoyed our meal!!
What you see in this photo is what they call "avocado toast classic" like 1/4 avocado with all kinds of leaves but just one of each in two un toasted peaces of bread, the egg poorly seasoned cooked & served, so disappointing
* we shared the vegan mezze & an avocado toast. both super tasty! * not very busy when we visited on a Sunday morning * sunny window table
Super friendly as soon as we walked in. Both the St. Barth Benny (Smoked Salmon) & the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast were delicious, we would also recommend the Wild Berry Blast Smoothie. The service was quick considering how busy it was. & the staff were very nice. Part of our order was messed up but they more than made up for it. If we return to Montreal we will be back!
Absolutely love it. My family came to Montreal for a week trip & we stayed in downtown. We fall in love with the restaurant & went three times during the week. The food is delicious & I love the avocado toast. My son likes the classic breakfast. My daughter is into the chocolate croissant & my husband tried a wide variety of foods all very well done! I also like the setting of the venue, very cozy & bright & a place you feel connection to immediately! The owner is very nice & has great heart to running the place.
Generally a disappointment. Menu sounds delicious but the food was across the board tasteless. I don't understand how an avocado toast with egg & pesto on a sesame bagel could be so totally lacking in flavor. The side salad that accompanied the toast was also just a variety of texture, no flavor at all. The sweet & savory special was hilarious at the small size of the miniature waffles, which was unexpected, but on the whole OK. The potatoes, which looked like they would be amazing, tasted like nothing. Again just texture. Coffee was also bad. Service was scarce & hard to get anyone's attention. Very loud & hard to have a conversation. They can't all be gems.
