Review Summary

Café Saigon is widely regarded as a charming and authentic neighborhood destination offering a cozy atmosphere and welcoming service. Many patrons frequently praise the high quality of the dishes, particularly highlighting the flavorful General Tao chicken, crispy spring rolls, and generous portions. As a bring your own wine establishment, it provides a relaxed setting perfect for both solo dining and social outings. While experiences regarding payment methods and consistency can vary, the majority of visitors appreciate the attentive staff and the great value found in the comforting Vietnamese fusion menu.

Honestly one of the best hidden gems I have overlooked for a long time. Our waitress was excellent explaining options, fast delivery, & even helped with my french (a rare courtesy for a service worker anywhere in Montreal).

Food was epically good. Seems all sauces, including their soya, are made in house. I've never had sauce like this - thick & rich, almost like a creamy oil consistency - not watery at all. The spring roll was one of the best I've ever had. The Pad Thai was equally to die for & the price was amazing. Chicken seasoned really well & fried perfectly. 10/10 & I will be back. I was shocked the place wasn't packed.

Very disappointing. Tao chicken & rice were not fresh at all, calamari was 90% breading with way too salty sauce. & pad Thai sauce was again super salty, basically noodles with orange salt sauce. No fragrance or layering of flavors you can usually expect from pad Thai.

It is a simple but super solid place to have dinner. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai, & it was excellent. It was not too expensive, & the service was attentive & polite. I will definitely go back. When I read the reviews about poor authenticity, I roll my eyes. This is not Vietnam. My date & I were happy with tasty fresh food at a very reasonable price & polite service with a smile.

This place is honestly disappointing. I ordered the peanut stir fry & it turned out to be slightly watered down plain peanut butter poured over pre-boiled shrimps & vegetables. In my picture I have already picked up a shrimp & saw that the shrimp below it didn't have any sauce on it at all - which would not happen if everything was cooked together. Same goes for all vegetables. My sister said the shrimps in her pad thai tasted fishy & she didn't eat them. The spring rolls were good & the staff was nice.
