Review Summary

Café Romy offers a mixed experience where patrons frequently highlight the quality of the coffee and specific food items like the crab salad as positive points. However, many visitors express dissatisfaction regarding the service, noting that staff interactions can be rude and that customers are sometimes pressured to leave. While some find the atmosphere pleasant, others feel the prices are too high for the value provided, with complaints about dry pastries and inconsistent food quality leading to a general consensus that the overall experience does not consistently justify the cost.

An elder member of my family was walking in front of this'Cafe' & slipped on some chocolate & fell rather hardly on the ground. None of the employees acknowledged her fall including the older, male, owner/manager. If you see someone fall you should do the decent thing & see if they are okay instead of ignoring her. He actually accused her of trying to pull this as a'trick' for money when we went back to ask him about it!! He doesn't know anything about our finances but trust me, we don't need extra money, esp from a crappy coffee booth with terrible customer service. He also said he wasn't responsible for what is on the floor outside of his cafe/booth. He may not be responsible but he could put out some effort to keep his area clean. We ended up talking to security (who was very nice & professional) to document the fall in case she had any fractures & hopefully they can review the video of the man looking the other way & MAYBE possibly begin the process of removing this terrible coffee booth from the mall.

Romy Cafe is right at the mall entrance, perfect for a quick coffee on the go. I had a cappuccino & it was really good! Not the best place to sit, but great for a fast takeaway while shopping.

The good location for the indoor terrace, next to the shopping mall gardens, grants this three stars due to the nice seating area. Others have left many scathing bad reviews but I would love to see this place flourish to its potential, so here are some suggestions: the menu really needs more options for tea drinkers. Would also be nice to offer cold brew for easy to make rich tasting less acidic coffee. As for the pastries, they are like the cheapest past date thing you can find in a grocery store, so I suggest asking any pastry lovers with functioning taste buds to help develop that part of the menu using a little taste testing. There are lots of great local suppliers & you could probably attract a grateful fresh new clientèle if you stocked anything from Susie Sans Gluten for instance.
