Review Summary

Overall this set of reviews portrays Café Romy as a place with some appealing drinks and a few tasty items, and a convenient mall entrance location for a quick coffee on the go. The cappuccino and other coffees are praised by some, as are items like crab salad, a date cake, and a salami sandwich, while others call the coffee overrated or average. Service quality is a major point of inconsistency, with reports of friendly or good service in some visits and unfriendly, inattentive, or overpriced service in others. Several comments mention the setting as pleasant or cute, but not ideal for lingering, and note that some visits felt rushed or that the staff did not greet customers. Taken together, Café Romy seems to work well for a fast takeaway and certain menu items, but overall the experience is mixed and service and pricing remain points of contention.

Nice little cafe. We were served by beautiful Armenian young lady & a man.
The coffee was pleasant, the crab salad & date cake, were good.

Merci pour le bon service.
Sandwich au salami & biscuit aux dates étaient délicieux.

The good location for the indoor terrace, next to the shopping mall gardens, grants this three stars due to the nice seating area. Others have left many scathing bad reviews but I would love to see this place flourish to its potential, so here are some suggestions: the menu really needs more options for tea drinkers. Would also be nice to offer cold brew for easy to make rich tasting less acidic coffee. As for the pastries, they are like the cheapest past date thing you can find in a grocery store, so I suggest asking any pastry lovers with functioning taste buds to help develop that part of the menu using a little taste testing. There are lots of great local suppliers & you could probably attract a grateful fresh new clientèle if you stocked anything from Susie Sans Gluten for instance.
