A montreal classic. Tiny shop, only meant for take out coffees. Almost always a line but it goes by quick. I like their remix a lot (a layered mix of cold espresso, caffe crema soft-serve, with hot frothed milk & chocolate). I recommend it to anyone who likes a nice sweet but not too sweet coffee treat in the summer.
The affogato also isn't bad, just a bit too much ice cream for me. Their mocha is one of the best.
One of my Montreal friends recommended here for me & I like it a lot!
Service impeccable, vraiment très agréable, le café est excellent.
Good vibes .
First time checking out Café Olimpico's DT location on a busy Friday morning. The inside is cramped but there's a bench outside.
Went with a caffé latte ($4.50) with lait d'avoine ($1.00). Okay but tiny. Latté freddo is better.
the barista's got charm, the kind that fills the room before the smell of coffee does. I ask him how it is. he laughs,'not good.' a joke, maybe. maybe not. he wasn't lying. it's the kind of coffee that tries too hard, like a man in a new suit with nothing to say. bitter, empty, no heart, no art. you drink it because you have to, because the day's too long, because you forgot what real coffee tastes like. it'll wake you up, sure, but it won't make you feel alive.
Best place I know until today to grap a real good coffee in Montreal.
