The coffee was good & had that classic Italian café style, but overall the experience didn't really stand out to me. The location is convenient & it's worth trying if you're already in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Justin is an excellent Barista, knows people's orders & shows charisma towards clientele. Downtown olimpico has become my stop over the mile end location that I frequented ten years. Thanks Justin!
Stopped by this cafe while walking through downtown & was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the drinks. It has a very cool aesthetic that feels both modern & traditional at the same time. The staff seems to know what they are doing & they are very quick with orders despite the steady flow of customers. It is a bit loud inside so maybe not the best place for a quiet meeting but perfect for a quick break.
It was a really nice, warm & sunny Saturday so the line stretched all the way to the door. However the line moved fast so I didn't mind the wait. While I liked the ambiance inside, the cafe is quite small & tight. There were a few tables to sit for a few people but there was no space to move & stroll about in the cafe... all that space was filled with people in a serpentine line. Usually people go outside of the cafe to chill but if the weather isn't cooperating, it's hard to enjoy your drink indoors.
Nevertheless, the service was fast & professional. The staff were very friendly & helpful.
I ordered a cafe freddo, black & I enjoyed it quite a lot. I decided not to add any milk just to enjoy the texture of the espresso & ice.
Overall, a really nice authentic Italian café in the heart of downtown Montreal!
Favourite coffee place downtown! Milk always perfectly foamed & the cannoli are amazing!
The downtown location is hand down THE best location of all Olympicos. Yes, it's just as chaotic & busy, though you gotta give it to the staff. Justin & his team create such a beautiful community vibe 🙌 It's their warm energy, attention to detail, & integrity that converts people - like myself & countless others - into regulars. Grateful we have this spot as our'Cheers'.
To the staff: huge thank you for the delicious coffee & good times every time 🫶
I've been to the Mile End location of this cafe, but I was downtown so I thought I'd check out this location. It was slightly underground & a little smaller, but very quaint. I ordered the Latte Freddo iced & it was a very delicious & smooth iced coffee. Whenever I'm in Montreal I do make it a point to visit this place as it is one of my favorite coffee shops in the city! They also sell Italian pastries which I have tried before at the other location. Also very good! There's a reason there's several locations of this place, it means they are doing well. Highly recommend for good coffee in Montreal!
Justin, Jesse, Daniele & the gang offer a great coffee & service always with a smile any day of the week . Location is prime for an in & out coffee &/or a treat. Space may be small, but if you're looking for a good Italian-style coffee downtown, it is the place to go.
Solid spot for coffee near downtown Montreal - I wish I did buy some of their beans so that I could brew at home.
Their coffee is very neutral, not too sharp, tart, or fruity, but not too tobacco or cereal either. Their coffee closest resembles that of Arabica, so if you like that style, you will enjoy this.
There's almost always a line here as well, so be prepared to wait to order & wait for your drink. All that means is they're doing something right!
