Very nice Café. Got the latte & the croissant & they were both delicious. P the place looks fab as wellView more
This used to be one of my favorite cafés in the area, great coffee & consistently good baked goods. Coming here was truly a highlight of my day. Unfortunately, I've decided not to return because of repeated negative experiences with one particular barista. I won't name anyone, but I'm confident other regulars will know who I'm referring to.
For almost eight months, I've been met with consistent rudeness: no greeting, no smile, no acknowledgment when I speak, & no indication when my order is ready. What's more upsetting is that this behavior doesn't seem to extend to everyone. It feels selective. I've always been polite & tipped, but I've never received even the smallest gesture of courtesy in return. I gave it time, hoping things would change, but she never did. It's unfortunate because the coffee really is excellent. But no coffee is worth starting my day feeling unwelcome.View more
View more
Have been a regular here for many years, staff are friendly, kind & always make great coffee. I am always happy to spend a day working from home at this cafe & during my school years would study often from this cafe! The manager has quality in mind & the team are all absolutely lovely!
Would recommend on all fronts!View more
Café Nocturne is multifaceted - it can be a space for studying & deep immersion in your own work; for laughing & catching up with friends; for simply leaning back & enjoying a nice cup of coffee or tea. The scones are an absolute must-try at this café, & the Sunday pancakes are the best I've had. The staff at Nocturne are kind & prone to laughter & quickly whip up your order. Best coffee in town.View more
The atmosphere is inviting & cozy, the cafe vibes are strong. The incandescent lights, rustic furniture & decor, & colours are very pleasing. Their scones & coffee are also legitimate.. the scone had that authentic buttermilk taste & was of a perfect texture. Sadly our experience lacked in warm service as the barista had an unhelpful & unconcerned attitude & expression. Additionally, their wifi didn't work, & the tea is mediocre (not strong nor fragrant). Final thoughts: may or may not come back. A shame cause I liked the cafe itself, just not the service & lack of functioning internet.View more
View more
Cute Plateau destination for delicious drinks - see the hot chocolate in the photo, which was every bit tasty as it was beautiful. Very kind personnel. Only down sides: there is no food unless you go in the morning (see empty counter window), as they run out, & they only have high table seating with uncomfortable stools. There is one loveseat, but some regular tables & comfortable chairs would really make a difference. All in all, a nice café!View more
While the coffee is decent & the service friendly, most people don't go to a cafe strictly for the coffee. This is where I think this cafe lacks greatly; the atmosphere is small & unwelcoming. There's enough cafes in Montreal that have both that it's hard to see myself visiting again. Even in the short time I was there, I saw 3 groups of people walk in & walk out, likely sensing the same ambiance I sensed.View more
They stopped selling the coffee bag I've been buying for the last 3 years. Cafe Nocturne, I'm sad to say that you lost a loyal regular client.View more
i absolutely adore this cafe. so cute, good coffee & amazing croissants. i think it was the largest croissant I've eaten that was actually good. it's in the perfect area close to campus & entering on the plateau. come here for your morning pastry & coffee before walking around the plateau or to mount royal on the weekends. can also work from here on week days being that it's close to campus.View more
View more
I adore this cafe. It is absolutely adorable & I have had exceptional service every time.View more
View more
Correct.
beautiful cafe! great quality coffee & a very sunny & well designed ambiance. good for studying or just hanging out!View more
Nocturne is my favorite café in Montreal; the staff's friendliness creates a sense of community, fostering a cozy & welcoming atmosphere.View more
Best cafe in Montreal. I love their coffee & baked goods. The staff are all friendly & welcoming.View more
Sub par service with a latte that is not what it used to be.
I drank countless lattes in Cafe Nocturne. I used to consider it the best (by far) latte in MTL.
It was at least 4:45 ….All the stools were on the tables! « we are closed » said the staff. Where did all the customers go in 5 minutes?
I’m sure there was a change in ownership. It’s the only explanation.
I know for sure Michael would have never tolerated that.
As a constructive criticism, it used to be perfect coffee. It was more than coffee, an experience. It’s sad. Customer service level simply went south with a touch of arrogance.View more
this is the cafe you’re looking for. stop looking you found it
also i walked by the kitchen & saw a massive bowl of dough with soo much butter in it so you know the croissants are legit. def get thoseView more
