The barista was very snobby with me as I took a minute to think about my order. It was 9:30am on a Wednesday & I was the only customer in the place, so I don't understand the rush. I said to have a nice day as I left & received no response. Coffee was okay.

Well, I am glad the other person had courteous service. I lived up the street from this cafe when it first opened about 5 years ago, & was delighted it had come to the neighbourhood. Never in my life, have I been treated (mostly by the original co-owner) with such snootiness in all my years of travel to Paris, London, Singapore, etc.

At the time, their water/hydro was not hooked up & they were making & serving bodum coffee. Even though I came every day to support them, I was never treated to a smile, or more than the most minimal conversation. When I returned with friends from out of town, I saw little had changed. Just more hipsters/ students with computers. Coffee fine, but a bit acidic & the milk was too hot, too. I can't stand this place, so maybe I am biased, but my friend's pastry was not great either, particularly for the price. Tea ok, though.
