Reviews consistently highlight Café Névé for excellent coffee and delicious cookies, with the chocolate chip cookie singled out as a star and the grilled cheese croissant also earning praise. The space is described as cozy and intimate, with plenty of light and tables that work for studying or catching up with friends, and the atmosphere is often noted as friendly and welcoming. A wide selection of coffee beans to take home from different roasteries is mentioned, along with attentive service, though some comments point to slow service during busy times and occasional issues with refunds. The overall vibe ranges from lively and social to quiet and relaxed, and the ambiance can be a bit louder depending on the day. Perks like a free coffee when purchasing a bean bag are noted, and many agree that Café Névé is among the better spots in Montreal for coffee and comfort.
After a small hiking in Mont-Royal, I was looking for a cafe that was opened on the national holiday & found this cafe & give it a try. Love the atmosphere of this cafe, combination between a modern & old architecture. The barista also very friendly & kind to help me with the good milk for my latte based on my preferences. The latte is fresh & light. The cookies is the best, chewy, freshly made & big too. Would need to try their other desserts too in the future when I come back again.

The barista working was very kind, the cookie was freshly baked, & the espresso was delicious. They also have a wide selection of coffee beans to bring home from different roasteries.
The chocolate chip cookie is the star of the show, the belle of the ball. It straddles the line between undercooked & perfectly cooked, which is ideal. Grilled cheese croissant is decent too, regular croissant is just fine. Nice place to sit & hangout / work.
Definitively one of the best coffee shop in Montreal. The vibe there is super cool, they have tables were you can study & others if want just to enjoy your coffee. I found the place very cosy & intimate. The service is very friendly ! I came for the cookie & it was absolutely delicious. The coffee is also very very amazing. I recommend 100% this place :) also if you buy a bag of coffee you get a free coffee that's pretty cool !
Nice cafe for working. There are some renovations coming soon as well. I came for the famous cookie. They had caramel white chocolate, chocolate chip, & Reeses peanut butter chocolate cookie. I ordered the chocolate chip & it was big, tasty, & chewy. For CAD$4.60. The manager was super friendly as well.
This used to be our favourite place in the city. Their food menu was amazing, & the coffee was good. A few months ago they decided to reduce the staff & stopped making any food except baked goods. The cookies are good, but we were bagel people. Service got noticeably slow too. Seems like the owners are trying to cut costs, & honestly we just started going somewhere else to get a proper breakfast.
Great coffee, atmosphere & cookie but the service was poor. I have rarely seen staff that disagreeable & unfriendly. Not a word, not a smile & the plates basically thrown on the table.
Amazing study spot with literally the BEST cookies. Honestly... the cookie blew me away. The white chocolate nut cookie is the best, IMO (but very very sweet). Really good coffee & super chill & friendly vibe. The place always smells delicious. Sandwiches are really good but a littlleeee pricey
Really good chocolate 🍫 chip cookies 🍪
We recalled this coffee shop as we visited during Covid. As we remember, it’s a small coffee shop located on the street corner with little seating places inside. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious & the service was good. Finding parking in this area can be challenging, Street parking is free until 1 o’clock on Sundays. Otherwise you need to pay.
