Ouvert en 2008 à quelques pas de l'Université Concordia, le Café Myriade mise avant tout sur la qualité de son café. Ses deux fondateurs ont déjà fait leurs preuves en tant que baristas (spécialistes dans la préparation de boissons à base de café).
Le Café Myriade est décrit comme un petit établissement avec des cafés de bonne qualité, une ambiance chaleureuse et un personnel sympathique, apprécié pour les viennoiseries et l'ambiance conviviale mais parfois bondé ou difficile à trouver une place pour s'asseoir; des critiques évoquent des lenteurs de service occasionnelles, des boissons à la température parfois perfectible et quelques soucis de communication, tandis que l'emplacement près de Concordia et l'utilisation de torréfactions locales de qualité et d'une machine espresso haut de gamme sont des points positifs fréquents.
Stumbled into Cafe Myriade on a Tuesday evening after a long day of meetings, & the pour-over bar alone made it worth the detour - watching the barista dial in the grind with actual intention reminded me of the serious third-wave spots I frequent in Tokyo & Copenhagen. The light roast they were featuring had a clarity I rarely find outside of specialty roasters who really know what they're doing. Service was unhurried but attentive, which is a harder balance to strike than most cafes realize. If you're passing through Montreal & care about coffee the way some people care about wine, this one belongs on your list.
This is an amazing cafe that I have lived close to for years, so this was a long overdue visit. I did come here to work but found there was no wifi or outlets, but that doesn't subtract from the review at all because that's just not what the cafe is purposed for & that's fine! This is more of a cafe to socialize at over a coffee, but you can certainly get work done here if you have the technical capabilities to do so independently. The patio is quite appealing as well. The staff here is excellent, barista was mad friendly & my latte was superb. I was surprised by how high the volume got, probably due to influxes of Concordia students getting out of various classes. The baked goods are also awesome. This is a superb cafe, can see why they are doing so well.

This place has a genuinely inviting atmosphere. There's something about the café's interior design that creates a cozy, warm ambiance & makes it comfortable to spend time there.
The croissant was flavorful, though it would have been better if it had been served warm. The coffee quality is good overall, but the temperature could be improved. For instance, the hot chocolate was not as hot as expected.
Les cafés & la nourriture étaient délicieux & la musique est très originale, je pourrais revenir.
Malheureusement, les baristas ne sont pas aimables & ne font pas d'efforts pour parler français.
My daily coffee shop for every day that I spent in Montreal. Coffee was consistently delicious & the baristas were always friendly. The chocolatine was my favorite. The space was really cute & cozy, but it's kind of hard to find a table when it's full & snowy. Nonetheless I loved Cafe Myriade.

We happened upon this cafe, not realizing its reputation in Montreal. It was the best latte I had in the city, & again, completely unexpected. The barista was so kind & made recommendations for my husband & I. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast or to-go treat.
Les employés de ce café ne font jamais l'effort de parler aux clients francophones dans leur langue . Ils ne disent même pas bonjour en français, & on laisse faire le côté sympathique parce qu'ils ont toujours l'air blasés & préfèrent parler entre eux jusqu'à ce que quelqu'un finisse par servir les clients.
Petit rappel : au Québec, offrir le service en français, ce n'est pas optionnel, mais mandatoire! Aussi, je ne crois pas que dire bonjour & demander la grandeur en français, est très exigeant pour les employés ... 🙄🙄🙄
They have a Kees van der Westen espresso machine. If you know, you know. If you don't know, it's like an $80k European hand made top of the line machine in one of the only cafes I've seen actually use one. & it makes real, real, good coffee. Their local roasts are also very nice.

We came here every morning for the three days we were in town. The staff made us feel like we were regulars from ages. From the pastries to the drinks, everything was the best quality. They have a wonderful neighbourhood presence. Given some circumstances with the hotel we were staying at, my friend wanted to get pastries for the hotel staff. When the cafe staff found out, they contributed extra in consideration. A must stop visit if you're nearby.
A comforting atmosphere café with consistently well made iced lattes. A great place to study or get some work done if it's not too busy with all the other customers who also love this place.

I ordered a Mocha this morning which I enjoyed. Wasn't too sweet & had a nice smooth texture to my liking. Price was reasonable.
However, service wasn't friendly. I waited for my coffee & after the barista finished making my drink, he simply placed it on the counter expecting me to come over to pick it up like a dog. No eye contact, some acknowledgement would've been appreciated.
Thirdly, I'm surprised that the cafe didn't have Wifi. When I asked the same barista about it, he replied in almost an annoyed manner. I had my computer ready to do some work but I simply left the cafe in disappointment.
L'un des meilleures café que j'ai bu, plein de saveur & équilibré & surtout jamais brûlé ! Le service est vraiment au top, les boissons sont délicieuses & les cookies & beignets sont divins, pour un prix attractifs en prime !
You can find strong & creamy cafe latte, & Matcha latte here :) , located very close to concordia university. Usually fresh cookies, white chocolate & raspberry croissant. Atmosphere is nice as well if you like to be surrounded by students.
This cafe is tiny but packs an enormous punch for its size! My latte was the best latte I have had in Montreal. The croissant was excellent & was one of several delicious looking pastry selections. The baristas are courteous & efficient. There's seating outside as well. Pricing? Above the famous Canadian coffee shop but below that expensive American place. In any case, I prefer to patronise a local business than a big chain.
