Unfortunately, my experience at Café Lulu didn't meet expectations. The latte was quite ordinary & lacked flavor. What really stood out in a negative way was that the spoon & mug didn't seem properly clean, which made the experience feel unpleasant. To make matters worse, the edge of the mug was chipped, something that shouldn't be overlooked in any café.
On a positive note, the croissant was fresh. but overall, the visit didn't leave a good impression. I was expecting more, especially given the café's reputation.
Hands down THE BEST CAFE in Montreal. Reasonably priced, excellent menu choices (vegetarian options), & the absolutely sweetest staff I've ever encountered. Staff make an effort to remember their customers even if they are tourists returning daily for breakfast.
Seriously, Cafe Lulu needs a t-shirt! I would totally promote this culinary gem ❤?
Petit-déjeuner absolument délicieux chez Café Lulu ! Les assiettes sont généreuses, bien présentées & les ingrédients sont frais (mention spéciale pour les oeufs, les fruits & le croissant croustillant). Le service est chaleureux, attentionné & rapide. L'ambiance est conviviale, parfaite pour bien commencer la journée. Une excellente adresse à Montréal pour les amateurs de brunch. Je recommande vivement !
My brother & I visited this café for brunch. Cozy place & has friendly staff. We weren't sure what to order so we picked 3 sandwiches with crab salad on the side. I didn't like the curry chicken sandwich but still ate it nonetheless. Everything else was delicious.
Man kann hier sehr gut und vor allem sehr lecker frühstücken.
Sowohl die Crepes als auch die Omeletts waren super lecker.
Die Preise sind vollkommen in Ordnung.
Das Café ist ganz sicher eine Empfehlung wert.
Chill place 👍I mean you wouldn't think it's unique, but their customer service is really good. The food is also good. They get people. The price - well can't really argue in this economy so I get it.
It's just a chill place where they aren't passive aggressive to a customer, aren't cleaning the floor when you are eating the food (Columbus does this all the time...). It's your good neighbourhood café. They let us talk for good 1 hrs before finally asking if we were going to order anything haha.
They have gluten free bread. But, cross contamination is possible. They may warn you.
Nothing ever goes wrong starting your day at Lulu. The vibes are warm, the people are super friendly, & the crepes? Absolute magnifique. Cafe are great hehe. Also a bonus,it's laptop-friendly, so you can chill or get things done. Gros manque

Great spot but YOU CANT WORK WITH LAPTOP THE MORNING! Which I find no necessarily bad in a super crowded place but the cafe was half empty I wasn't bothering anyone worst to worst the owner (who is really kind) could have told me ok you can work but only for 2 hours. Be flexible, I spent 28$ for my breakfast.
Wonderful café! We stayed a few nights at Hyatt Place, Downtown Montreal & noticed this place was a close walk. We had a stroller & a 10 month at the time & they were very friendly & accommodating. Good coffee, great crêpes! We had the Nutella Strawberry & the Ham, Swiss & Asparagus options & we were very happy!
Café Lulu truly exceeded our expectations & became one of the highlights of our trip to Montreal. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly warm & welcoming, creating a friendly & relaxed vibe that made us feel right at home. They were attentive without being intrusive, & you could tell they genuinely care about their guests having a great experience.
The food was absolutely fantastic - beautifully presented & even better tasting. Every dish we ordered was fresh, well-prepared, & full of flavor. I personally couldn't get enough of the Nutella-Fraises Crêpes - they were rich, indulgent, & perfectly balanced with the fresh strawberries. Definitely a must-try if you have a sweet tooth like me!
