Stopped in here for a cup of tea on a cold May morning. The lovely lady at the counter was so warm & welcoming that I was immediately comfortable there. When I apologised for my rickety French, she immediately switched to English, & when I said I was from Newfoundland, we bonded instantly. (She confided she's always wanted to visit us!) Cafe Lulu is the best of Montreal: a small, unassuming space with plenty of room & loads of delicious pastries & other delicacies. Exquisitely clean & tidy, & the tables are close enough that you can get to know your neighbours -- like the lovely young family from Oman I met! If you are in Montreal, don't miss this place. It's absolutely the best.
Super friendly & really fresh, delicious food . This place doesn't look much from the outside & we almost walked past but thank goodness we didn't . We saw the reviews which is why we visited & we are so glad we went in. Really tasty & well priced food . Wonderful staff.

Very happy to find this on my weekend holiday. Had friends with me from Toronto & we all ended up there at some point every day for a coffee or a snack. The crepes were great for breakfast!
Une belle découverte dans le Village ! J'y suis allé en solo ce soir & j'ai été agréablement surpris. La crêpe aux fraises & blueberries avec le coulis de chocolat était délicieuse, & le smoothie fraise-banane-orange vraiment excellent. Mais ce qui m'a le plus marqué, c'est le service - la dame avec son sourire & le monsieur avec sa gentillesse, c'était vraiment au-dessus de mes attentes. On se sent accueilli, pas juste servi. Je recommande chaudement !
The staff was very friendly & helpful. Chicken, mushroom & cheese crepe & western omelette were delicious. Very good lattes. I highly recommend coming here for breakfast if you are in the area!
