Cafe Fernanda is cozy, welcoming, & delicious! We had a straight espresso, which was full-bodied with classic espresso richness & flavor, great aroma, & light crema. The cortado was also excellent.
The best though, are their Portuguese Natas, absolutely worth a try.
We just got 4 coffees to go, oat milk for the cappuccino, they have it all, & the coffees were great! Lovely little cafe, cozy atmosphere & very friendly staff. 💕 will try to come back to try the yummy-looking pastries & Portuguese grilled cheese sandwich.
A lovely neighbourhood spot! Great coffee drinks, delicious Portuguese pastries, & friendly vibes. Very cozy.
Super cute little Portuguese cafe. The natas are good & I tried their coconut matcha latte, it was delicious. It does taste a lot like coconut, so if you don't like coconut do not take it.
Café Fernanda is a true gem in the heart of Montréal, offering an authentically Portuguese café experience right in the Mile End.
Stepping inside, you're greeted by a cozy, inviting atmosphere & a staff that radiates warmth & charm, making every visit feel like a homecoming.
What truly sets Café Fernanda apart is its incredible selection of Portuguese pastries, especially the renowned pasteis de nata.
The natas are celebrated for their delicate, flaky crust & creamy, perfectly sweetened custard center-qualities that rival even the best bakeries in Portugal.
Beyond the natas, you'll find an impressive range of drinks-from bold cappuccinos to creamy matcha lattes-& other treats like oat cookies & scones that are equally delightful.
Whether you're craving a sublime pastry, a comforting drink, or just a welcoming place to relax, Café Fernanda delivers on every level.
For the best pasteis de nata in Montreal-& an all-around outstanding café experience-this is the place to be. Highly recommended!
Top tier dessert & portuguese pastry. No sandwishes though. Impressive array of drinks available & what I tasted was delicious.
I absolutely LOVE this little café. In the middle of a neighbourhood that is favoured with good cafés, this is my favourite ... & I've tried lots of them. Fernanda is Portuguese in flavour & you can certainly indulge your craving for a Pastel de Nata, but there are other treats too. For a light lunch, have a Portuguese grilled cheese including sun-dried tomato with optional chorizo or ham. Coffee or tea of course.
Pierre is a wonderful host. You'll enjoy your visit. Olå
Tried this place for the first time today & we loved it!
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a warm decor with charming European/Portuguese touches.
The owner provided us with great service, & was patient & kind while we took some time to decide what we wanted.
I had a delicious nata straight from Portugal, & a perfectly balanced cortado made with smooth espresso.
The music also deserves an honourable mention; he has great taste & it only added to the atmosphere.
As soon as I was finished I was already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!
The best of the recent spawn of new cafes in the neighbourhood: the coffee has the nice neutral earthier taste that I've been seeking (after years of the fruitier 3rd wave coffees); the food is quite nice for the right price (même des jo-louis maison qu'ils appellent des'jean-louis') ; the Portuguese decor is charming & the shop is cozy, especially in the company of the owner & the staff that are genuinely kind.
Cozy coffee shop! perhaps being biased as a fellow Portuguese but everything was brilliant. Giving 4 for food as the savoury menu needs to be tried & tested!
Merci Pierre
Pierre was warm & welcoming as it happened also to be a very quiet day. I love this little cafe. Very eclectic with touches of Portugal, Natas, imported sardines & Portuguese delicacies. Music is soft & current, old world oil paintings on the walls & interspersed with black & white photos of seaside villages in Portugal.
I enjoyed my book, & a delectable hot London Fog tea.
I would have stayed all day but had some doggies that needed me.
