I was very impressed with this café. This was my first stop when we arrive to Montreal. The sub was delicious & I quite enjoyed the seltzer. This is located in a great area with lots of other things to walk around & explore nearby.View more

I'm normally not a big fan of eating sandwiches when I eat out, preferring to eat at restaurants with more'interesting' cuisines. However, my daughter wanted to eat At Café Americano, & when I saw the sandwiches people were eating, I said OK!
What a sandwich! I am still thinking about it! We shared the large Caprese, savouring the mozzarella, pesto, & tomato. Delicious!
We could have stopped there, but we also shared a delicious mushroom arancini. The mushroom flavour shone. We asked for the tomato sauce on the side, but they put it on top & if you are ordering it, I would suggest you ask for it on the side (to fully appreciate the mushroom element).
Unfortunately, we were too full to order a dessert, but the display of desserts was tempting- the key lime pie caught my eye.
Service was good. The person who took our order shared that it is a family run business which is nice.
The café is large & sunny with cheerful floral displays on the walls.View more

Belle ambiance, un personnel à l'écoute mais des sandwichs sans goût malgré un prix juste. La portion était généreuse, les produits étaient aussi de qualité. Malheureusement, le tout a été entaché par un sandwich poulet parmesan accompagné d'une quantité de sauce marinara ridicule. Si vous êtes dans la coin par hasard & cherchez un peu de réconfort, votre café américano sera justifié. Sinon allez plutôt dans d'autres endroits qui proposent des produit, mais en plus savoureux.View more

Had a solid Americano here while I waited for my takeaway double wrapped Italian cold cut sandwich which, sans vegetables, performed wonderfully on my late afternoon flight back to the states. A half sandwich was plenty, & the ingredient ratio was balanced. Café Americano is friendly with swift service, in a cute & lively space. What's not to like? Pop in if you're in the area.View more

A friend & I wanted a coffee & Café Americano beckoned us to stop by its attractive store front. The abundant fresh chicken sandwich accompanied with cheese, tomato & lettuce was divided in two & satisfied both our appetites. The tiramisu matcha was great! I'm usually a little bit skeptical about drinks I see posted on Instagram a lot, but this one was definitely worth the trip! My boyfriend had an iced mokaccino that was very good. We also had arancini (one proscuitto & one calamari/squid), which were amazing & a great pistachio croissant. The aesthetic of the cafe was very nice & the staff were friendly. I'll definitely go again :)View more

Nous sommes entrés dans ce petit café sur Mont-Royal entre deux séances de friperies & quelle belle découverte ! Leur sélection d'arrancinis est assez variée avec quelques variétés plutôt originales. Lors de notre bref passage, j'ai entendu quelques clients semblant être des habitués de la place vanter les sandwichs, j'y retournerai donc assurément pour faire quelques provisions. Visited twice. Busy place but service is efficient & friendly. We did not have to wait long for our orders. 3* for the coffee drinks. From our visits, our orders were inconsistent. The mocha we ordered tasted different each time. The second time around, the drink was way too sweet, comparable to a hot chocolate. We did not appreciate it. We were served a better beverage the first time, with a better ratio of coffee to chocolate. The sandwiches are generously portioned. The ciabattas are fresh & substantial. We had the Chicken Parm & the Cold Cuts sandwiches. If you are used to visiting other similar Italian sandwich spots around the city, you may find that Café Americano's lacked on flavor. Sandwiches could have used more condiments or spices, in our opinion. Overall, still a good option if you are in the area. Coffee is seemingly hit or miss. If you visit often, consider grabbing a rewards card.View more
