Didn't love the food, at all. We enjoyed one dish (the fish) & the others were all OK. Overcooked rabbit, soogy salad. Desserts were really disappointing. I was hoping the desserts would be delicious but got 3 desserts & one was good, other 2 were sub par. You need to be an adventurous eater. Fois gras, blood pouding, rabbit, duck, creton etc. Creative dishes but didn't deliver in good flavour & a lot of food but not well balanced at all. Also why do they bring 3 dishes at a time? Was really hoping for a better meal for my husbands birthday.View more

Honestly I had no idea what I was in for. I heard of it several years ago, kept trying to get reservations for a few years & this year finally got one. I did not even read the website & just showed up not knowing what to expect. I would say it is in the top 5 meals that I have eaten in my life & I travel all over eating at amazing places. The vibe was great, the service was fantastic (thanks Catherine, Maxim, Bernard & chef Vivianne!), the food was phenomenal! I don't even want to tell people because I don't want more competition for reservations but I feel like any foodie deserves to know that they MUST have this experience. I might cry in future years if I don't get a reservation because I am going back every single year, but I am definitely going to try out their picnic basket option also!View more
Reservation this year was online starting on Dec 1st. You can reserve for 2 people, but you'll seated at the bar. I've never had such a decadent sugar shack experience, literally foie gras in 1/3 of all the dishes. It was delicious & was stuffed by the time the entrees came. The waiters were bustling everywhere but still took the time to explain each item & filled out cups. The great thing is that you can bring your own Tupperware to bring it back.View more

We tried to get reservations for the sugar shack for a few years now, & finally got in early enough to book a table. Let me tell you it was one of the most pleasurable experiences we've had at a restaurant, the service was amazing very well organized. The food was incredible from first appetizer to the desserts Everything was spot on. We even got to meet the owner Martin Picard there which was a bonus. We will certainly be back next year with more friends.View more
C'est la cabane à sucre à essayer au moins 1 fois dans sa vie. Même si on se roule lorsqu'on sort de l'endroit & qu'une séance intense au gym est démise le lendemain, chaque kilo pris en vaut la peine.View more

The food is ok more refine than other sugar shack but the 65$ is definitely not worth it the table setup is very cramp the portion are not properly manage for the 2 persons we didn't have anything left but groups had much more, finally the hype around this place is not worthy as the menu for 2017 they change it every year the dessert was pretty goodView more
An incredible experience. The atmosphere is unique - old school Quebec cabane, group seating, warm & friendly place to visit The food is as good as you have heard. Incentive plays on traditional fare, top quality ingredients & a respectable wine list. Certainly worth having in your plans for next year if you want a special memory & some phenomenal foodView more

Tout était parfait! Je voulais faire de l'ombre aux commentaires négatifs que j si pu lire avant d y aller. J étais craintive, mais rien à voir avec une cabane à sucre régulière, il faut partir du principe que c est un restaurant gastronomique & être épicurien pour apprécier la nourriture. Tout était excellent. Le mélange des saveurs était parfait aussi. Oui le coût est de 100$ par personne, mais il te reste assurément de la nourriture à rapporter à la maison pour faire un repas & donc il faut se dire que c est pour presque deux repas 😅.View more
