Buvette Pastek ressort comme une adresse chaleureuse du vieux Montréal avec une ambiance qui peut passer du cosy au chic selon l’heure, idéale pour brunch, dîner ou sorties entre amis. Le service est souvent loué pour son accueil et ses conseils sur les vins et les plats, mais certains retours mentionnent un service plus froid ou plus discret et une énergie parfois trop forte du cadre. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vivette Pastèque, & I just have to share how lovely it was. Their wine selection is honestly a little treasure trove-you'll find something delightful for any taste. & can we talk about Jan? Gen is absolutely wonderful, super attentive & really adds that extra sparkle to the experience. Oh, & the brunches? They're just deliciously good-the kind that makes you want to come back for more cozy weekend vibes. Definitely a spot worth visiting!
Hit Buvette Pastek before a night out & it did not disappoint. Ambience was on point, food was really good, & the manager Gen was awesome - super attentive & gave great wine recs to go with everything. All around a great time & would 100% come back next trip.
After an unfortunate welcome at Marcella, we stumbled upon Buvette Pastek by chance-& it turned out to be the best surprise of the evening.
The place wasn't overcrowded, the music was at the perfect level, & the atmosphere immediately felt inviting. The menu is simple but thoughtful, & the wine list is excellent (with very reasonable prices).
We ended up staying more than three hours-just the two of us catching up-& I can honestly say it was the best $400 I've ever spent at a restaurant. The service was warm, attentive, & understanding without ever being pushy. The food was delicious, & everything about the experience made us feel taken care of.
Sometimes the best nights happen by accident, & Buvette Pastek truly delivered. Highly recommended.
In one word? Incredible. From the standout staff to the thoughtfully curated menus, Buvette Pastek has been my go-to for years now. From brunch to dinner I am continually amazed & impressed with the elevated space & the impeccable service. Highly recommend their cocktail/wine menus, & their food menus are excellent & underrated. Five golden stars!

Lovely wine bar with good selection of food on a rotating menu & cocktails + mocktails are good too, although on the pricier side (~20$ each) but that seems to be the average nowadays at places like these. Tried their focaccia, pasta, broccolini & duck, all delicious. Great place for sharing plates & vibes are nice for dinner although a little dark. Would come back to try more of their food! Resos were also convenient.
Excellent wine selection, delicious food, combined with an intriguing atmosphere. We would highly recommend this place to anyone living in or visiting the old port of Montreal. Additionally, the service we received was outstanding. Looking forward to returning soon.
With a brilliant wine list, my hopes were high. When eating the food, my hopes were dashed. Everything was just oily, even the modern take on a beef tartare. This is a place to be seen it felt, certainly more style over the substance. Service was missing a beat -- wine ordered with lunch only coming when the lunch was served; a missed opportunity that's for sure. Lunch also served without cutlery & it shows that noone is paying attention given that it then took another 5 minutes to get attention for said cutlery. All on a day when there were people about but it wasn't ridiculously busy.

This is the place to go if you are going to Montreal for a real French vibe!! Meat, cheese & a wine that will always suit your palette. Take your time, enjoy the atmosphere. Great place to meet up with good friends 👌💕
One of my favorite places in all of Montréal! This is such a cute spot if you are looking for something lowkey with a high end but hip vibe with a great wine selection in the Old Port of Montréal. The music selection was very chill yet versatile. In addition, the staff did a great job with recommendations of the elaborate food, drink & wine list. There wasn't along wait for anything at all. Genevieve & Arnaud deserve a raise with how they both manage their staff during the times of rushes. Would recommend this spot 10/10 times to anyone. Can't wait to visit again for my tequila smash.
Quality wine list & knowledgeable staff. The food was phenomenal & the wine matched very well. Especially the buratta & the tuna sashimi. Comfortable atmosphere

I wanted to go there for quite a while so maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed. We were a group of 5. Worth a try but I wouldn't go back. The place is stunning & the mood was really nice. Nothing bad to say on that part. It's more expensive than most other great Buvettes in Montreal but that was to be expected because of their location (Old Port). Food was tasty although small in portions. The burrata was delicious, a must. Their cocktails were pretty good too! For us the big let down was the lack of knowledge & service around the wine. I'm used to having people know their wine products properly, especially if you call yourself a Buvette. So all in all, if the place wasn't called a Buvette I'd give it a 4 star since most things were pretty good but I don't want someone else to think they will have a nice wine tasting experience.
Excellent food even if the quantities are modest. But all very good. Beautiful music, excellent services & delicious rosé wine. We took a selection of cheeses which explained to us in which order to taste.
Excellent service & meal. We ate our lunch outside on the street with our 2 dogs. Wife have a Italian meats platter wine & I had a beer. I forget what my lunch was called but it was delicious & photos enclosed.
We popped in for a few glasses of wine before our dinner reservation near by. Service & vibes were great, wine selection & cocktails were lovely. Looking forward to trying out the food one day! (It looked great!)
