Buvette Pastek is widely recognized as a vibrant and inviting destination in the Old Port, frequently praised for its exceptional food, thoughtful wine selections, and lively atmosphere. Guests consistently highlight the high quality of the dishes, such as the fried olives and brunch offerings, alongside a menu that balances creativity with comfort. While some visitors find the pricing high and portion sizes modest, the consensus remains overwhelmingly positive, with many patrons commending the attentive, professional, and welcoming service that consistently enhances their experience. Whether visiting for a relaxed brunch, an intimate dinner, or drinks on the sunlit terrace, the establishment is frequently described as a hidden gem that leaves a lasting, positive impression on those who visit.
Terasse is nice but right next to a busy street so it was uncomfortable when loud motorcycles passed & smell of gas was disagreeable. The food was tasty however, the service was slow & portions were quite small (unlike the price)! Not sure if I would return.
I've been wanting to visit this establishment for some time. After finally getting the chance, it wasn't a moment too soon. My husband & I went primarily for drinks & I tried the fried olives appetizer. I had the amaretto sour which was perfectly balanced & one of the best I've ever had. The fried olives were chef's kiss. I particularly appreciate the unassuming nature of this establishment. The terrace is cozy & intimate & the service was accommodating & just the right pace. Although we were just there, we can't wait to go back.
A bit disappointed. Nice place but took a while to get a table despite being Fairly quiet this evening. Then took 25 minutes to get a drink. I had a spicy margarita, which was excellent, but 25 minutes to get a drink on a quiet night is pretty poor. Come on guys, I'm sure you can do better!

I had the pleasure of hosting my private birthday party in the courtyard at Buvette Pastek. Lélia was super kind & helpful in helping me plan the party, she really made sure that I was able to enjoy it. The service by Zach during the evening was exceptional & made the night even more special. Can't recommend this place more for a party!
Beautiful terrasse, 100% Montreal vibes! The food was delicious & so fresh, the ambiance was fantastic with good music, not too loud, just perfect! & of course, my fav rosé is on the wine list! Definitely recommended for happy hours or a casual dinner.
Buvette Pastek became a favourite for us during our time in Canada, visiting on both occasions that we were in Montreal ☀?. The menu is excellent 🍽?, & the atmosphere made it an easy place to return to 🌿.
On our first visit, the server recommended a bottle of Canadian natural wine 🍷, & on our second visit we each had a glass of Pinot Gris 🍇.
Each time we sat on the terrace in the sun 🌞, while other tables enjoyed cocktails 🍸. The bread was very good 🥖, but the fried olives were the standout dish for me 🫒.
Between the welcoming atmosphere, the enjoyable terrace, & a menu that drew us back twice, Buvette Pastek is somewhere I would happily return to again.
