Welcome to the BreWskey Taproom, Montreal’s Old Port brewery!
Just four years since the opening of BreWskey pub, the Taproom opened in 2019 as an expansion of the pub, in order to accommodate our ever growing clientele. Above all, it is our passion for brewing that led us to create the new space: we can now brew our own products on site!
It has been a true labour of love, and the result is Old Montreal’s newest hot spot – seating for 100 people, open plan kitchen and brewery running at full steam, and a large outdoor terrace facing the port itself. It has quickly become a crucial destination spot in Old Montreal for lovers of top quality local beer and food.
And that’s what you’ll find flowing from our 30 beer taps: local and regional products we are proud to offer. Come and taste the best of Quebec at BreWskey Taproom in Old Montreal!
Our Specialties
Homemade beer, Alcohol from Québec & Homemade desserts.
BreWskey Taproom comes across as a lively Old Port favorite with a wide, rotating slate of craft beers, including standout NE IPAs and refreshing brews like Brew Juice and Double Framberry, all paired with a menu that features grilled cheese, bacon dishes, poutine and beef brisket that many reviewers found tasty and satisfying; the atmosphere blends rustic decor with a vibrant, casual vibe, two great outdoor patios, and a direct view of the brewing process that adds to the experience; the staff are consistently knowledgeable, friendly and attentive, making the service a highlight even during busy times; while some notes describe the food selection as limited and the prices a bit steep at times, the overall experience remains highly enjoyable for beer lovers and visitors looking for a relaxed, social night out in the Old Port.
Nice place to stop for a drink if you are in the old port. They have a great adornments of IPA & other drinks. I didn't eat the food as I only had an IPA.

After the loooong wait to get served, we were seated after a short wait for lunch, we finally ordered everything at once as we were famished & thirsty after walking for the better part of the morning & early afternoon in the vicinity of Montreal. We ordered beers, 16 oz, my partner 10 oz. I can understand hers being small, but my 16 oz Orange Radler which came in a relatively small glass, not a beer glass did NOT seem/feel 16 oz. I looked through the menu & I see the biggest size is 16 oz, yet 3 guys seating a table over got 3 beers in what they were normal, tall glasses. My chintzy lil glass did not satisfy my thirst that hott day & I would not recommend drinks at this establishment. Food maybe, but definitely not the small drinks they offer for the high, expensive prices. Ohhh, & it seems all their beers are tart. If you like that suit yourself, possibly ONLY during the summer as they wouldn't work as winter/fall drinks. All in all, I wouldn't come back here or recommend it.
Escaped the rain to enjoy some beer flights at BreWskey. Service & drinks were great. Many of the beers tasted the same, but I think that's because we ordered similar things (e.g., the three IPAs we got all tasted pretty similar). Space was cramped & a bit stuffy, especially with the humidity from the rain, but we enjoyed this spot nonetheless.

Fantastic, recommendable, & definitely repeatable. Great food selection & execution, perfect location, & varied & tasty beer choices. The staff was super nice (particularly one lady who spoke Spanish to us). The only drawback was that the indoors section had only a couple of not impressive fans, so on a hot summer night you just have to cross your fingers & hope that outdoors is windy enough
When you come to this bar, you feel at home, where you are always welcome. I want to express special thanks to the bartender named Danylo. A wonderful guy & a professional in his field.

It's a great place for an end-of-the-day drink. The reservation system may be strange - you'll need to wait in line even with a reservation, but the service & the food are amazing. Highly recommended. They had a great live musician, & the beers & the food were superb!
Very large choice of speciality beers. The food is pretty good as well. We got the vegetarian grilled cheese & the gnocchi. Nothing to say about the grilled cheese, it was perfect with Brie & mushrooms, but I found the gnocchi's texture to be very starchy. Overall, a really nice experience!
The brewskey as a brand offer a great & wide experience since they have under the same roof 3 differents commerces. The annexe for the smoked meat, the beer & the merchandise, the Pub with their pub menu & a wide selection of whiskey & their restaurant the Taproom. Whatever you are looking for, you'll found it & it's all signed Brewskey.
