About us

Welcome to the BreWskey Taproom, Montreal’s Old Port brewery!

Just four years since the opening of BreWskey pub, the Taproom opened in 2019 as an expansion of the pub, in order to accommodate our ever growing clientele. Above all, it is our passion for brewing that led us to create the new space: we can now brew our own products on site!

It has been a true labour of love, and the result is Old Montreal’s newest hot spot – seating for 100 people, open plan kitchen and brewery running at full steam, and a large outdoor terrace facing the port itself. It has quickly become a crucial destination spot in Old Montreal for lovers of top quality local beer and food.

A nice spot with two great patios & not really a'tourist trap' the way some other restaurants in the area can be.

The grilled cheese sandwichs are fantastic & the beer selection is great. It's a frequent stop for me when I'm in Montreal. Staff are great too but at very busy times it can be a little slower, as expected.

I had the Radler & Brew Juice & they were both perfect. We also had the smoked beef grilled cheese & it was delicious. Great outdoor seating, service was wonderful & fast. Highly recommend.

Nice outside patio, lovely location, great service. Meat heavy menu. The nachos were not very good. They tasted like stale chips toasted with grocery store Mexican blend cheese on top. The guac was very cumin-y & the salsa felt more like marinara than salsa.

Très bon choix de bières, bonne terrasse extérieure. La nourriture était un peu grasse mais bien préparée (grilled cheese au charlevoix). Nous avons apprecié qu'ils donnent des coloriages pour les enfants, mais il n'y avait aucun plat adapté pour les enfants, dommage.

A great spot for beers & food. They seem to brew their own offerings on site, & the brand is located over two floors. We actually visited twice whilst in Montreal & we had a great time. The grilled cheese, salmon bites & sour beers were delicious.

Service was great. Staff was very friendly. A ton of beer options & they all tasted great. This was the best grilled cheese I've ever had. Holy cow it was amazing. 😍 Right across the road from all the action of Old Port, this place was easy to find, sit down, & enjoy the Montreal atmosphere.

Very large choice of speciality beers. The food is pretty good as well. We got the vegetarian grilled cheese & the gnocchi. Nothing to say about the grilled cheese, it was perfect with Brie & mushrooms, but I found the gnocchi's texture to be very starchy. Overall, a really nice experience!

This is a really solid brewpub because they make delicious beers & amazing food. It’s really hard to find a brewery that makes delicious beers & food but brewski knows what they’re doing. They made a specialty burger in 2021 & it was one of the most delicious burgers I’ve ever had, the mac & cheese is also very good. They have two separate menus depending on the entrance you choose. There’s an access to the pub on St. Paul Street & another access from the Li commune. Parking can be challenging in this area. Please refer to our parking recommendations, paid parking lot on De La, commune & street parking on Notre Dame. They usually have really good rotating taps without white variety of beers. Try their PNut buster stout !

Quand nous sommes allés, il n'y avait pas une aussi grande variété de bières qu'une fois précédente où nous sommes allés au pub & il y avait moins de sortes qui nous faisaient envie. Le grilled cheese était très bon, mais le bacon tellement épais qu'il venait d'un coup quand on croquait dans le sandwich. Le plat de choux de Bruxelles était plutôt bon, mais la purée ne goûtait pas le fromage de chèvre & certains morceaux de bacon manquaient de cuisson.
