Welcome to the BreWskey Taproom, Montreal’s Old Port brewery!
Just four years since the opening of BreWskey pub, the Taproom opened in 2019 as an expansion of the pub, in order to accommodate our ever growing clientele. Above all, it is our passion for brewing that led us to create the new space: we can now brew our own products on site!
It has been a true labour of love, and the result is Old Montreal’s newest hot spot – seating for 100 people, open plan kitchen and brewery running at full steam, and a large outdoor terrace facing the port itself. It has quickly become a crucial destination spot in Old Montreal for lovers of top quality local beer and food.
And that’s what you’ll find flowing from our 30 beer taps: local and regional products we are proud to offer. Come and taste the best of Quebec at BreWskey Taproom in Old Montreal!

BreWskey Taproom is a highly regarded destination in the Old Port, celebrated for its extensive and impressive selection of house brewed craft beers. Visitors frequently highlight the vibrant and relaxed atmosphere, often enhanced by pleasant patio seating and a rustic, authentic interior that allows guests to view the brewing process. While the food menu is specialized and sometimes limited, many guests rave about the poutine, grilled cheese, and other hearty pub fare that pairs perfectly with their drinks. The staff is consistently described as friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, contributing to an overall experience that keeps both locals and tourists returning for a solid and enjoyable craft beer experience in Montreal.
The beer selection was extensive & delicious, offering a wide range of options. The service was excellent, with friendly & attentive staff. The charcuterie board was an incredible display of diverse & flavorful options.
Stopped here for poutine & a couple of flights of beer. Really impressed by the strong selection of craft ales, including several brewed in?house. Service on the drinks was a little slow, but the food arrived quickly & the overall experience wasn't diluted. Great bar with a relaxed vibe - well worth a visit.
This brewpub was a great place to enjoy craft beers, offering a wide variety of house?brewed selections & rotating taps. The decor is rustic but the ambiance is vibrant, making it a great pick for casual nights out. However, the food menu is quite limited, offering only a few core items.
A nice spot with two great patios & not really a'tourist trap' the way some other restaurants in the area can be.
The grilled cheese sandwichs are fantastic & the beer selection is great. It's a frequent stop for me when I'm in Montreal. Staff are great too but at very busy times it can be a little slower, as expected.
I wanted to like Brewsky, but it fell short. The bathrooms were in terrible condition. While the staff were friendly, the service was slow even though it wasn't busy. On top of that, the menu felt limited & the food was just okay - nothing that stood out.
Overall, it's an average spot that could be much better with cleaner facilities, faster service, & a stronger food selection.
Brewiskey is easily one of the best spots in the city to enjoy a beer, especially if you're looking for a great outdoor patio experience. Located in the beautiful Old Port area, the ambiance is unbeatable. I spent an evening there with friends, & it was just perfect - laid-back, vibrant, & full of character. The street outside adds to the charm, with its historic vibe & lively atmosphere, making the whole experience feel special & relaxed.
The outdoor patio is spacious & well set up, making it a great place to unwind with a cold drink in hand. Whether you're catching up with friends or just enjoying the evening air, Brewiskey offers a chill setting that's hard to match. The beer selection is solid, with a range of options to suit different tastes, & the service was friendly & attentive throughout the night.
While I didn't explore much of the food menu this time, the overall vibe of the place is what truly stood out. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to come back - not just for the drinks, but for the atmosphere & the experience. Highly recommend Brewiskey for a relaxed night out in Old Port.
