Went for a couple brews after our walk & really enjoyed the drinks we chose. Our server brought us a couple samples to try & we ended up ordering a hazy blonde & tropical twist brew juice. Let's just say if I could get that brew juice on a regular basis I'd be in trouble. It was sooooo good!!!

Great beer, good food, average service. We went for dinner last week & while the beer & food were enjoyable, the service was far from good. It quickly became apparent no one owned the customer journey.

We were seated promptly but no one took our order for more than 20 minutes. The venue was about 50% full on a week day evening but it seemed only one lady could take orders. After asking one of the guys if we could place an order, he was only able to clear tables & could pass a message to the lady. Our order was eventually taken by the lady & the food served by someone else.

During our meal, we finished our beers. The glasses were cleared away promptly but no one asked us if we would like another beer. Eventually I placed the empty coaster on the end of the table to try & get someone's attention. Another waiter came over & asked how our meal was, as we had nearly finished at this stage.

When I mentioned, no one had asked us about a new beer order, despite the glasses being cleared, the reaction was one of surprise. No apology, just taken aback. He took our drinks order & someone else delivered them a short time later.

We eat out regularly & the customer journey is owned in most places. Hi, I'm XYZ & I'll be taking care of you tonight. Adopting that would prevent the unfortunate service we experienced. All said, the food was very nice & the beer was also very good.

Food & drinks were nice, plus if you sit outside you get to see the streets of Old Montreal which is quite neat. While our server was good, they did forget something we had ordered, though I can understand it completely with how busy it was.

Having an Isaria lager (Isaria is a heirloom german malt made by Weyermann), a Kellerbier, a Triple IPA Milkshake, & a sweet imperial stout.
Canadian craft breweries don't know how to make lagers. Both lagers taste estery & ale-like; lagers should be crisp. The Isaria tastes like a blonde ale, the Kellerbier is as far from Franconia as a beer can be; an ok beer to the untrained drinker but an insult to anyone who visited Franconia. The TIPA & the sweet imperial stout are both excellent. The TIPA tastes fresh with plenty of good aromas & flavors, no oxidation & no hop burn. The stout is also extremely well-made, the coco, choc & vanilla come through beautifully.
Advice to brewers: stick to ales, you do them really well. For lagers, you need some brewing training.

Stopped here for poutine & a couple of flights of beer. Really impressed by the strong selection of craft ales, including several brewed in?house. Service on the drinks was a little slow, but the food arrived quickly & the overall experience wasn't diluted. Great bar with a relaxed vibe - well worth a visit.

Great vibes, great drinks 🍻❤? & even greater service! It was super busy, yet someone they managed to keep up with everyone. I was hoping for a cold, refreshing citrus drink & their recommendation of a margarita (which happened to be on sale that day for $8) did not disappoint 🍋 it was so tasty, cold & strong haha (my only tiny note would be that the drink was a tad too a sweet for me, but that's just personal taste).

Delicious French-Canadian spread. Solid meal. & even better drinks!
