We wanted to come here for brunch but we didn't make a reservation in advance so we ended up getting breakfast instead. I ordered the smoked salmon egg Benedict, which was actually offered for both breakfast & brunch. The egg Benedict was scrumptious! The potatoes were warm & crispy. The hollandaise was rich & silky. The eggs were poached perfectly. My boyfriend got scrambled eggs with sausages, which were also delicious. The portions were generous. For that day, this meal kept us properly fueled to explore Montreal for the whole day. For our next trip, we will come back to Brasserie 701 for brunch :)
Bonjour J'ai été à votre restaurant pour fêter mon anniversaire le dimanche surpassé, J'y étais avec des amis. L'accueil était correct, le service parfait. Nous étions servi toute la soirée par un jeune homme de couleur ébène désolé j'ai pas retenu son nom. Il était vraiment très convivial. Le repas était bon j'ai pris le conflit de canard avec une bouteille de vin & en dessert j'ai reçu une crème brûlée, je m'attendais à une tranche de gâteau mais la Crème brûlée était excellente.. par contre la mousse au chocolat trop sucré pour mes amis. Merci.
Entering Brasserie the hostess was a bit stand offish & slightly rude however, BIG shout out to Melissa!!! She is extremely professional, kind & just overall so lovely!! Our food was exactly as they described it & tasted even better! Thank you so much Melissa for your kindness , much love 💕
The brunch was the best we've had with the perfect portions. As well, Melissa, was the most kind & accommodating waitress. Though the hostess was not the kindest, Melissa really turned our experience around & made our brunch here most memorable! Will definitely be back!
C'était notre deuxième fois au Bistro 701. Notre première visite, remontant à février dernier, avait été impeccable. Gros coup de coeur pour le tartare de boeuf! Cette fois-ci, quelle déception! J'ai dû retourner mon tartare car il goûtait le poisson. J'avais demandé une salade vinaigrette à part & pas de frites. On m'a apporté des frites & une salade avec vinaigrette. La salade a été changée. Pour ne pas gaspiller ces accompagnements, j'ai simplement demandé qu'on m'apporte un steak, comme mon conjoint, qui avait commandé le steak/frites.Tout était parfait de son côté, cependant c'était la première fois qu'un steak/frites ne comprenait pas au minimum quelques légumes ou une salade. Malheureusement, après plus d'une demi-heure d'attente, je n'avais toujours rien reçu. Mon conjoint avait terminé son repas, ma salade était terminée, j'avais grignoté quelques frites... J'ai demandé à tout annuler. Notre serveur a été impeccable & le service était irréprochable. On nous a offert notre bouteille de vin & on nous a dit qu'il y avait des difficultés en cuisine. Donc en résumé, excellent service, magnifique ambiance, mais cuisine très problématique. Nous donnerons peut-être une autre chance au Bistro 701, mais cette visite a été très décevante.
Came to celebrate my brothers birthday & had an absolute blast, great food, good vibes, & Melissa our server was exceptional. Really made for a great Brunch!

The aesthetic is very cute, perfect for the bridal brunch I came for. A lot of good food options & variety & our server Paula was very sweet & accommodating.

Paula was warm & friendly to me & my group of friends during my bachelorette. She made the experience a lot better by talking to us in English & introducing the menu.
Came here on a short trip & the waitress Paula was amazing! She was so sweet & understanding whilst taking my group's orders! Great experience definitely recommend.
