Was searching for a spot to eat in & tried this place as a walk-in. Even though we had no reservations, they seated us at one of their high tables in the corner & we had some great people watching views. Food & service was great. Too full to try the desserts.

Maybe they should stick to serving brunch! Dinner menu consists of a very limited selection of French cuisine, served in small quantities at a glacial pace. & on a day of extreme temperatures the air conditioning was not working! This restaurant probably does well only because of it's prime location. Still looking for the valet parking.
Nice atmosphere & based on the architecture it looks as though it was formerly a bank. Would make a good night club venue. Food was so-so & very overpriced. Many of the items on the menu were "sold out" the night that I visited for dinner. Service was good & the wine selection was fairly extensive Repeat ? Not worth it
Quel moment charmant passé au 701 ! Un cadre magnifique, un accueil charmant, une cuisine exquise dans parler de la délicate intention qu'ils ont eu ce jour là pour fêter la réussite de mon petit fils ainsi que mon anniversaire! Je n'oublierai pas ce moment là ! 1000 mercis 🤩😊
Je suis allé à la Brasserie récemment & j'ai été incroyablement impressionné par les talents des bartenders Shady & Felix. Shady est un maître de l'art du cocktail, toujours souriant & prêt à recommander des boissons qui correspondent parfaitement à vos goûts. Felix, de son côté, est tout aussi talentueux, avec un sens de l'humour incroyable & une attention aux détails qui rendent chaque visite spéciale. Ensemble, ils créent une ambiance chaleureuse & accueillante. Si vous cherchez un endroit où passer une excellente soirée, c'est ici que ça se passe ! Ils m'ont vraiment impressionné ! Je conseille ce restaurant principalement pour ces deux serveurs.

I recommend booking, but we waited very little time. The place is very nice & the atmosphere is very good. THANKS, A LOT TO MELISSA & RAFAEL FOR THEIR EXCELLENT ATTITUDE & JOY!! The food is simply delicious... I don't remember the name of the kind hostess but thanks to her too.
This was my first time ever in Montreal, & in Canada! My friend recommended this restaurant, & I was absolutely impressed !!! Our server was Florence, & from the very beginning to the very end, she took such great care of me & my friend!!! She brought our food quickly, recommended me a red wine to have with my main course (it was perfect with my steak), & she made us feel so welcomed at this restaurant! Brasserie 701 is very lucky to have Florence on their team!!!
Je ne pense pas que le chef &/ou les cuisiniers ont déjà mangé de la bouillabaisse. Vraiment déçu d'avoir payé pour un plat aussi insipide. Aucun goût. Ni de safran, ni de fenouil, ni de homard comme indiqué dans le menu. Le service de Laetitia était impeccable par contre 👍
Very old building with a pristine inside. Service was amazing. 3 adults & 3 kids loved the food: eggs Benedict to yogurt parfait to continental platter!
Ma compagne & moi sommes des amoureux de la Brasserie 701. Une décoration élégante & chic. Leur cuisine française est toujours un régal. Le personnel (tous autant qu'ils sont) est toujours poli, courtois, professionnel & remarquable. La brasserie a toujours été notre restaurant coup de coeur à Montréal & l'est encore bien plus depuis hier & notre repas spécial. Je remercie encore tout le personnel pour l'organisation de ce repas. Tout a été parfait de À à Z. & j'espère que beaucoup de monde viendra vous découvrir pour partager votre cuisine, votre professionnalisme & bonne humeur ainsi que votre belle ambiance.
