Persian food is excellent, but it is the first time I receive it in beautiful plating & classy, elegant environment in Montreal.
A must restaurant to try.
Unfortunately, although the rest of the staff was charming & very helpful & friendly, our waiter was overdoing & overselling everything at Bous.
We also had to remind the waiter about ordered cocktails, which was sent back & other items. It dampened our experience.
It is still a must to come to Bous but it just shows how the staff is so important in the dining experience.
We've officially found our new favourite Persian restaurant in montreal! From the moment we walked in we were blown away. The architecture & design are beautifully thought out, the persian music sets the perfect ambiance, & the warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home. Everything we tried was delicious: from the kashke bademjoon (our fav - so creamy!) to the koobideh kebab to the delicious ghorme sabzi to the chocolate date dessert - even the drinks were memorable! You can truly feel the love & authentic persian touch that goes into every dish. Special shout out to chef Ali & host Omar for making our experience so special with their incredible hospitality & service. My partner & I can't wait to come back & bring more friends & family. Highly recommend!
Excellent Persian food with authentic flavors, friendly service, & a warm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!
Please don't waste your time.
Very dark - bring a flashlight to read the very tiny cursive menu. Nothing offered on the table while you wait 30 minutes for your food. My first time in 25 years of eating Persian cuisine that I have ever seen a plate of Persian food served with only ONE kabob on the plate & a tiny plate of rice served on the side. Bread was dry & tasteless - good for breadcrumbs.
The name of the restaurant is also very poorly displayed.
Can't wait to get back home to Toronto where Persian food is done right. Full of flavour & very generous portion size.
While I ALWAYS take food pics, this restaurant was so disheartening that it never even occurred to me to take a photo of the food, that's how unimpressive it was! The other photos from other people adequately display the very small portions size.
Bous Persian cuisine is the perfect spot for a date night or a group dinner out. The drinks are unforgettable! I will be thinking about my chai daiquiri for years. Omar, the manager, was very knowledgeable & made the perfect recommendations. The meats were so tender & the flavors were perfect.
the best Persian fine dining experience I've had in Montreal. The restaurant beautifully showcases Iranian hospitality in a modern & elegant setting. Every dish was beautifully presented & packed with flavor, while still respecting the authenticity of Persian cuisine. The atmosphere is warm, sophisticated, & inviting, & the service is attentive without feeling overwhelming. It's wonderful to see Persian cuisine represented at such a high level. Whether you're already familiar with Iranian food or trying it for the first time, this place is absolutely worth visiting. I'll definitely be back.
A truly memorable experience at Bous. A beautiful new concept that brings Persian cuisine into a contemporary fine-dining setting. The design is stunning, with incredible attention to every detail, from the plates & tableware to the elegant décor. We loved hearing that some of the furniture was brought from Iran during such a challenging time, making the space even more meaningful.
The hospitality was exceptional. Our host was warm, knowledgeable, & explained every dish with such passion & care that it made us feel proud to see Persian cuisine presented so beautifully. We highly recommend the Sofreh experience, with its shared appetizers & main dishes that create a wonderful connection around the table.
The food, wine selection, atmosphere, & service were all outstanding. Congratulations to the Bous team for creating such a unique & inspiring place in Montreal.🥂✨
I really wanted to love this place because the concept has so much potential. The restaurant is beautifully designed, with a very modern & minimalist aesthetic, & it's clear that a lot of money & effort went into creating a luxurious atmosphere.
However, in my opinion, the design feels disconnected from the essence of Persian dining & hospitality. Persian cuisine is deeply rooted in warmth, tradition, comfort, & a sense of gathering. The sleek, ultra-modern environment may look impressive, but it doesn't create the inviting atmosphere that many people associate with an authentic Persian dining experience.
The same feeling carried over to the food. While the presentation was elegant & the prices reflected a fine-dining experience, the flavors & execution didn't justify the premium cost. The dishes lacked the depth, balance, & craftsmanship I expected at this price point.
It felt as though the focus was placed more on creating a luxury image than on preserving & celebrating the cultural identity that makes Persian cuisine so special. Luxury doesn't come from expensive décor or artistic plating alone-it comes from authenticity, attention to detail, exceptional cooking, & creating an experience that respects the roots of the cuisine.
Overall, I left feeling that the restaurant invested heavily in appearances but overlooked the heart & soul of what makes Persian dining memorable. I hope they continue to refine their concept, because with a stronger connection to the culture & a greater emphasis on the food itself, this place could become something truly exceptional.
Beautiful high end restaurant with amazing Persian food, however service is not up to the standards that the restaurant is trying to convey. The service team needs professional training.
