I've posted this before as noticing that the staff do not wash their hands after touching cash & the register.
A couple of weeks ago I was served by a girl who proceeded to go to the register with her gloves on, take my money punch everything into the register.
& then go with the same dirty gloves touching bread & pastry & serving other customers.
The manager responded to my text saying that the girl changed her gloves but I didn't see that.
Well I beg to differ....
Today I walked into Toledo picked up my favorite bread.
The girl that served me had no gloves on, she went to the cash register took my money punched everything into the register.
& then proceeded to go & touch a whole bunch of bread along with another colleague of hers who just did the same thing with no gloves at the cash register. I pointed that out to the both of them. Only the girl apologized for not doing so. The guy just gave me a dirty look.
So a note to everybody. Whoever serves you ask them to wash their hands before they serve you.View more
I love going there for bread & pasteries. So far everything I tried was delicious!View more
I tried their Macchiato & it was amazing. Their Mochaccino is amazing if you like the chocolaty flavour. The focaccia bread was pretty good too. Also, their vegan cookie is delicious.View more
A great place to enjoy the time with good coffee & a fine choice of tasty & quality bread, in the core of the vibrant Wellington street life.View more
Love this place, the vegan options they have might be few (in terms of food) but they are delicious! Thank you so much for the delicious tempeh sandwich while it lasted (I assume it's been replaced by the new vegan blt) & I'm really happy with the new vegan blt that you now offer! Absolutely delicious :)
The vegan quinoa bowl is simple but so tasty! Thank you so much for this recent addition ❤?
I hope to see more vegan patisseries over time but for now the carrot cake & chocolate chip cookies will do :)
Bread is always delicious & changing with the seasons, & most are vegan also!
I come regularly & don't plan on changing that anytime soon :)View more
As an almond croissant connoisseur, nowhere beats theirs!
The sourdough bread is also a must.View more
Most bakers in North American can't get rye bread as good as in Germany. This bakery does it all. The rye bread, the traditional French baguette & the pastries are all amazing. Even my German girlfriend who is a bread snob approves!View more
Loveeeee this place super fresh & well priced. I only get my bread here!!View more
Got the orange hot chocolate, brioche du carême, & gluten-free chocolate chip cookie.
Hot chocolate: This was so good! The orange flavor came through, & the hot chocolate itself was thick with a strong semi-dark chocolate flavor.
Brioche du carême: This was just average. Nothing really stood out about this. I could skip it.
Cookie: This was yummy! It was crispy on the outside, but more bready than that of a normal cookie on the inside. Solid cookie overall, even though it's not your traditional cookie.
There wasn't anything from here I'd really crave, but it hits the spot if you want quality bread or desserts. Would definitely grab one of their drinks if I pass by though.View more
It got ridiculously expensive. YES you guys make good stuff but do not take adventage of your loyal customers. I used to bring you guys lots of people ... but will not anymore. A fougasse at $7 NOTHING justifies thr price for a 100g piece of bread. We took the initative to totally remove you from our daily shopping list. Good luck, with your new prices.View more
The olive bread was dry probably two days old, the Lorraine quiche was average & the apple pastry ok. Since it was my first time , I'll look elsewhere as it's all about freshness when going to a bakery..View more
AmaZing place for a delicious coffee, breads & baked goodsView more
I'm gluten intolorent but can eat saroudough bread because it has less gluten.A very frustrated woman with light hair who clearly doesn't like her job, hopefully she wasn't the manager but maybe she was LIES to me & tells me that all the bread is saroudough! I'm checking the descriptions on the bread & clearly it's not saroudough, when I asked about it rudely says look around,so I left...I don't recommend this place ,there are other better places where they don't lie to your face.View more
Came in for a coffee & some croissants. Got an iced coffee & tried the plain croissant, the almond croissant & the chocolate almond croissant. They were all very good. The plain croissant was very flakey with many layers, you can taste the butter, it was so good! The almond & chocolate almond croissants were very tasty as well, not too sweet with a great texture. The bakery has a variety of pastries & fresh bread. They have picnic benches outside. Service was good. Would recommend.View more
I have been coming to this place in Verdun since it's opened. Excellent food, phenomenal pastries, out of this world bread. I gave Toledo 5 stars except on service, I gave it 4, I could have given it a 3 or less. This would be the first time. When checking out I experienced my "Short Change" or as my friends calls it: Getting the typical "Bar" fast of hand. My order came to $26. & change, I gave the fellow at the cash $40. He give me change for $30. It was busy & he was talking it up to the other patrons. Hey mistakes happen, so I told him I gave him two twenties, he said sorry, still talking it up with other patrons, he gives me a $5 bill. See what happened? It was not a mistake, he was doing the waitress bar hustle. I never had an experience like this at this place, service was always top notch only superseded by the quality of the products. I'm kind of gun shy to go back, knowing it was NOT a mistake but a way to make , at first $10 then $5. Then to top it off, he packed my order in a bag, got my lady friend extra treats for work this week. It was a surprise for her, as we get home I gave her the little surprise, nothing big just a little recognition of all she does for me. & what do I find, I never told her, but was short on two different pastries. Once again it's not the cost it's the principle of it. Hard to take. Too bad such a nice place.View more
Best bread & croissant in Verdun ! The only downside is that it's always crowded !View more
Bread is quite good. 5 stars for the bread. But the $6 chausson aux pommes should be called chausson aux SUGAR. The filling tasted like simple syrup with a touch of apple sauce. I ate less than half before I threw it in the trash. I've had candy bars that were less sweet. It was absolutely the worst chausson aux pommes I've had anywhere. I feel ripped off after that travesty of a chausson. No stars for the chausson. I felt sick after eating less than half of it. Absolutely disgusting.View more
Lovely boulangerie! I haven't had the best luck with their breads but I have enjoyed every pastry I have tried so far. Decent cappuccino too!View more
Good quality products, great bread, great pastries, & everything is fresh.View more
Love this place I always buy bread for my mom here & the pastries & coffee are always goodView more
It's a cozy place with not a lot of seats but very clean & modern. I love the viennoiserie (i would suggest the Pain Suisse), many kinds of bread, not a lot of pastry but super good (i tried the tartelette au citron meringuée & it was amazing!), they have also savory food. They have oat & almond milk for who, like me, is dairy intolerant. The coffee without the milk is a bit sour, but I'm italian, I'm picky on the coffee 😜 they make Panettone as well during Christmas time, that surprised me! You can find a fridge with some grocery products like milk, sandwiches, salads.. It's a bit more expensive than other bakeries, but it's worth it! I prefer to spend more & eat a better product. The service always fast & kind. I'm lucky cause I live very close to this place 😊View more
