J'ai été pour tester la Babka au chocolat, elle est incroyablement bonne. Les croissants aussi sont délicieux ! Mais il faut absolument tester la babka ! Nous y reviendrons pour sûr !

This is by far our favourite bakery in Montreal. It was an awesome experience bringing Chris'The Babka King' in for some delicious treats. We tried a lot of different desserts. The one that is our absolute favourite is the Chocolate Russian Babka.Voir plus
I adore old-world bakeries & have several favorites all over the country. I stumbled on Cheskie, & it smelled heavenly inside, & I felt like I had hit the jackpot! I bought $30 worth of goodies (which buys you a lot here), & I was giddy to try them all. I truly wanted to love this place, but the truth is, I ended up throwing away every single item after a couple bites (except one-the jam sandwich cookie was marvelous). Everything was kind of flavorless, & their black-&-white cookie wasn't even as good as the ones you can buy at grocery stores in New York. Their chocolate babka really broke my heart, it was so doughy in the center we had to throw out the whole loaf. :(Voir plus

A little bakery filled with wonderful goodies for a very reasonable price! I loved the cheese crown & the apple cake, but found rugelahs to be a bit too sweet (even though I've got such a sweet tooth!). Still, I'd love to go back to try other items! The servers were not friendly or helpful - they looked rather bored/tired. Could it be that I annoyed them because I obviously didn't fit in + wanted to ask questions? I wonder.Voir plus
I visited this morning & had to leave a review. The quality of food was amazing. This was the first time I have tried chocolate babka & was blown away. It was rich, chocolatey, sweet. I honestly want to head back up there before I leave Montreal to bring some back home to Toronto.
