We stopped in for dessert & loved this place. The bartender Theo was fantastic. We didn't get drinks but watched as he prepared many, he took a lot of care & was truly & artist. Great service great dessert & atmosphere.

We stopped into the bar here for dessert after dinner elsewhere. Theo in the bar was extremely friendly & taking great care with each & every cocktail he created. Made a point to engage us in conversation. Chocolate mousse was delicious- highly recommend.
A truly incredible dining experience. The staff are welcoming, & I appreciate the patience they with us had as my group stumbled through broken French! The meals were amazing, the drinks were amazing & the desserts were… also AMAZING. I'll definitely be back for the tasting menu in the future. I will be recommending Restaurant Bonaparte to anyone & everyone I know that will be visiting Montreal! :)
Our favorite restaurant, anywhere. Food is always expertly prepared & served. Our server, Guillaume was really great, personable, & paid very close attention to details...a super guy. Our seating was what we always reserve. Everything about Bonaparte is excellent, maitre'd, lobby personnel (the ladies called for a cab),, everyone. It is no wonder we have been coming back year after year.
For a relaxing, romantic fine dining experience, definitely make reservations. Restaurant Bonaparte is truly a stand-out in Montreal restaurants in terms of food, atmosphere, & service & is in one of our favorite memories in Montreal. We were seated by the window which was lovely. The cocktail list had so many interesting & delicious sounding cocktails that it was hard to choose. Each came with a card with a painting of a partially clothed woman & description of the cocktail. I got the Ah! Camomille which had a lovely base of chamomile flavor with honey & floral flavors. It went well with the lobster.
Our waiter took excellent care of us. Even with two other tables with one larger group of four or five, our conversation could be easily heard.
We had such a lovely dinner & relaxing experience, my husband even ordered an after dinner coffee, which he never does. We will definitely return the next time we are in Montreal.
Une si belle soirée! Décor bistro français haut de gamme tres réussi, les salles de bain font penser à une luxueuse maison close :)
Beaucoup de choix au menu & tout était absolument savoureux. Nous avons eu un service qui se démarque, tout aussi professionnel que chaleureux, merci à Catherine. À bientôt!
En temps normal il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner'en salle'.
Le petit déjeuner est servi dans un petit panier accroché près de la porte de la chambre. On ne va pas se mentir...c'est plus un en-cas qu'un vrai petit déjeuner.
& la machine à café dans la chambre est rudimentaire.....Pas pour amateurs de bons cafés.
C'est notre principal point négatif.
A côté de ça chambres OK, litterie confortable & le personnel est juste ADORABLE/BIENVEILLANT/GENTIL!!
