I think it's the only Persian restaurant in Montreal! So it worth visiting but I've eaten better Persian food in European countries! But I liked the vibe & staff were friendly & offered me Ash for free!
The quality of chicken kebab was perfect, it was soft & fully cooked & delicious. The employees had friendly behaviour. I recommend this restaurant for who wants to enjoy Persian meals.

Bonab continues to impress iranians & guests of iranians alike with consistently juicy & flavourful kebabs.
This is a family favourite for the past four years & continues to be our go-to delivery whenever we have non Iranian guests.
While their lengthy menu has plenty of variety, the kebabs remain the jewels of the selection. Their jujeh (chicken) kebab is moist & full of aromatic saffron. Their beef kebabs are consistent & cooked well.
While their stews & appetizers are not as spectacular, they still offer a delicious variety. The Mirza Ghasemi by far being the best selection of appetizer.
Having dined inside, as well as taken to go, as well as asked for delivery, we are well acquainted with all mediums of order.
When dining in, the staff were not the most hospitable. Unsure if this would extend to non-persian speakers but since our first dine in experience we have had positive interactions over the phone & when taking to go. It remains to be seen if their in-person service has improved. We hope they continue to represent our culture in service as well as their amazing food.
Their delivery website works as a cheaper alternative to Uber. Despite the conveniences, tracking & customer support Uber offers, we hope that ordering from their website gives the proceeds directly to the business as opposed to intermediaries. We wish to support local & our own as much as possible.
All in all a positive experience & one that is frequently recommended as a staple of Montreal's Iranian community.
Bonab Kebob is hands down one of the best Persian restaurants I've ever been to! The food is fresh, flavorful, & cooked to perfection. The kebabs are juicy & tender, especially the koobideh, which melts in your mouth. Their saffron rice is fragrant & pairs
perfectly with the grilled meats.
Beyond the food, the service is top-notch-friendly, attentive, & welcoming. The atmosphere is warm & inviting, making it a great spot for both casual meals & special occasions.

Super Persian food in the NDG district. We ordered the fantastic ash reshteh soup, joojeh kebab with bone & barg skewer, Served with ample rice & butter & sumac. The Persian tea at the end of the meal was wonderful, as was the baklava.

The koobideh was perfectly seasoned, tender, & juicy - easily the best I've had outside of Iran. The portions were generous, & the sides (especially the saffron rice & grilled tomatoes) complemented the meal beautifully. The service was attentive & friendly, making sure every detail was taken care of. The star of the show here is undoubtedly the kebab. I tried the Koobideh kebab, Tursh kebab,kebab Barg & it was simply sublime. The minced meat was expertly seasoned, perfectly grilled. Each bite was juicy & tender, accompanied by fluffy saffron rice that complemented the kebab beautifully. The grilled tomatoes & peppers on the side added a lovely smoky flavor that took the dish to another level. The menu features a variety of kebab options, including Joojeh kebab (chicken) & Barg kebab (lamb), all of which are marinated to perfection & cooked on a traditional skewer. The freshness of the ingredients is evident, & you can taste the love & care that goes into every dish. In addition to the kababs, I highly recommend trying the Mirza Ghasemi, a smoky eggplant dip, kashkBademjan , & Mast musir & their special Olive. The atmosphere is cozy, with Persian decor that creates a welcoming environment, making it perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. The service was impeccable-attentive but not intrusive, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. One of the best places by far when it comes to Persian food & culinary! The staff were really warm & welcoming, & the atmosphere was very friendly. Wonderful background music! Amazing experience!
I had bonab kebab after many years, together with the old Persian music it reminded me of old happy days back in Iran loved the food, loved the dessert, loved everything!
Very delicious food & warm hosts!! We were visiting from NYC & this was the best spot for some delicious ghorme sabzi, ash reshte & bonab kabob. The hosts & atmosphere are super lovely. A must go to persian restaurant in Montréal!
This is a wonderful Persian restaurant. I find some Persian restaurants have an overly simple menu that is mostly kebabs & rice. This restaurant features a few appetizers & dishes I haven't seen on other Persian restaurant menus. The service was superb, almost overly formal but I really appreciate her charm. Besides the koobideh, the dishes are on the pricier side.
The food delicious, the price on reasonable, the service okay, the only thing we noticed that two of the water glasses were not cleaned & could see a ring inside the glasses. Couple of flies were buzzing around. Hope the establishment takes corrective action. Over all a tasty Persian food.
