Review Summary

Bo'Dégât is a tiny neighborhood tapas spot in Montreal that serves authentic Spanish dishes with a Barcelona vibe in a relaxed, welcoming setting. The food is repeatedly described as delicious, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared, with tapas ranging from croquettes and tortilla to octopus and other savory bites that evoke a true Spanish experience. The atmosphere is warm and convivial, and the service is attentive and friendly, though peak hours can slow things a bit. Overall, the value is widely praised and the price/portion balance is noted as good by many, while a few reviewers feel portions are small for the cost. The place is lauded as a charming discovery and a place to return to, with many saying they will come back for the consistent quality and personal touch. Several reviewers mention that the meals transport them to Barcelona and that the tapas tradition comes through clearly in the menu, making Bo'Dégât feel like a genuine Catalan/Spanish dining moment in Montreal. A few comments point to occasional price concerns, but the overall sentiment is highly positive, calling it a hidden gem and a standout in the Montreal tapas scene.

I would say that the ham croquettes at Bodegat are the best in Canada. Bodegat ham croquettes are absolutely flawless. I also love their menu because it's carefully curated, offering authentic Spanish dishes with the best version of each item they serve. If you are in Montreal whether living here or just visiting & want to taste true Spanish cuisine with an authentic touch, this is without a doubt the place to go. Please, try & taste l'Ajo blanco as well.
Thank you, Bodegat, for your kindness & effort, & for cooking amazing food.

Take it from an extreme picky eater: just go there. & quickly. It's too damn good. The service is amazing, the food is exquisite. It's in form of tapas, so try EVERYTHING. Here's what we tried: the skewer lambs, skewer chicken, bao fried calamaris, ceviche, octopus with potatoes, the olives (EAT IT ALL AT ONCE), fried ham & trust me, EVERYTHING was exquisite. Do not hesitate: just go there as soon as you can. The price is very abordable.

I found the ham croquettas to be the best I have ever tried in a tapas restaurant. Also truly original was the truffel omelette - it is light on potatoes but had an intense & satisfying mushroom flavor. The cauliflower with romesco sauce was very delicate, the green hot peppers were a great touch. Perhaps the only item that I did not fall in love with was the black Bao bun with calamari - although the idea was creative, I felt there wasn't enough sauce & onions, so all I got to taste was the breading of the calamari. Overall -- you could tell that every dish was lovingly & carefully crafted. Keep up the great menu!

Wow this place was SO good! We were a large group celebrating a birthday so we chose the set menu option. Authentic, delicious Catalan/ Barcelonan tapas that will leave you so full. I think my favourite was the ham croquette. Every course was unreal. My taste buds have never been as happy. I started liking olives after trying them here because they were sooo delicious. The owner gave amazing service & you can tell how passionate she is about the food. The wine & drinks were delicious. You should make a reso as it is quite a small place & seems to always be packed, I can understand why after just one visit. I will definitely be back. I have also recommended this place to friends who really enjoyed as well!!

Friendly, attentive service. Ham/chorizo/cheese platter was pretty good, was a little disappointed in the ham tbh. Croquettes were delicious & cheesy but could have used more ham. Calamari Bao bun was delicious, but I was surprised that a tapas place would serve it as only one. Cauliflower was perfectly flavoured, just a small portion for the price. Margarita & Espresso martini were pretty good. Terrasse was nice but could really use a bit more decoration, either plants or lights or something like other places.
