Excellent & friendly service; excellent food, & good value. Our only disappointment was that the menu posted on the website is not up-to-date.
Our group of five had three delightful evenings at Le Relais last weekend! The food, service & ambiance were all just we were looking for! Genevieve took excellent care of us all three evenings. We hope to return to Le Relais again!

We were there on a Friday evening & they were quite busy, yet the staff was still very accommodating & efficient. Our meals were promptly delivered & the food was excellent. I liked the atmosphere & decor. Prices were reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Knowlton.
I would recommend to make an online reservation as the Relais lunch crowd proved to be quite large & popular. We were well received & guided to our reserved seating by the big windows with a view. The place was quite busy & lively with many elderly patrons like ourselves. Comfortable atmosphere with what looked like a real fire providing warmth in the fireplace. Good choice of the lunch specials at a very reasonable price testifying to the popularity of this family restaurant. Would certainly come back when visiting Lac Brome & highly recommend.
Très belle ambiance, beau menu & c'était très bon, nous avions des amis français avec nous & ils ont beaucoup aimé également.
Mais, par chance que nous n'étions pas pressés car les serveurs étaient débordés & le service bon mais très lent, on a attendu longtemps pour
avoir nos boissons; ils nous ont donné nos menus sans nous demander si on voulait boire quelque chose.
Mais, ce fût une belle expérience & nous allons revenir!!
This is a special restaurant for us with the best duck dishes in the province.
The Bree burger, onion rings & maple syrup pie were delicious! The service was great. We definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our meals were poutine with duck, cod with rice & vegetables, duck confit, steak salad. Every one of them was delicious & suited us each for our preferences that evening. The duck confit as pronounced "best ever," the poutine perfect & the cod light & flavorful, the steak cooked perfectly. We shared a maple pie, & it was amazing. Our server was so nice & accommodating & we appreciated her attention & patience.
We went to rRelais Bistro Because it is refuted to be the inspiration by Gabi & Olivier's bistro in Louise Penny books. The exterior looks right. The interior has no comfortable faded arm chairs. We made a reservation the day before. When we arrived there was no one else there so we were going to select a table near the fireplace But we were told all the tables in the main room were reserved. The proprietress eventually let us sit in the main room but she made us feel unwelcome. The waitress was very nice & the duck comfit was very good. Don't expect a warm welcoming.

Le vin commandé n'était plus disponible & la cuisine n'avait plus de fromage bleu pour la salade de bavette au bleu. Nous avons donc choisi autre chose.
Seul commentaire négatif (& très d'actualité): le pourcentage pour laisser un pourboire (sur la machine à paiements) commence à 18 %,,, De nombreux articles de journaux déplorent cette pratique. La touche "Autre" permet d'entrer 15% --- qui est calculé sur le montant avec taxes & non le montant avant taxes, ce qui équivaut à environ 17%.
très bon repas, nous sommes très satisfait de notre passage à votre restaurant.
The meal was wonderful, as always. Our server was professional, friendly & very efficient. The only comment I would like to make is that the restaurant needs stronger air conditioning units as we were uncomfortably hot sitting where we sat. Other than that, it's a 5 out of 5. :)
