Spectacular!!! Soft dough, super aerie , I had the mango coconut & chili. I get the chili as a "out of the ordinary " but un necessary for me. I just wish they offered a better cafe . This would create a more warming atmosphere.
The doughnut tasted great. But it is a bit pricey for the size of the doughnut. I paid 5.5 cad for a single lemon meringue doughnut.

I stumbled across Beigne Habitude & I'm so happy I did (also happy I love no where close), because their donuts are to die for. I've now had the pleasure of trying so many flavours: cherry cola, Apple fritter, chocolate babka, coffee, honey & sunflower, bay leaf & Concord grape, passionfruit & chocolate, mango chili, & strawberry lemon. Each one delicious in its own right. Yum!! I love that there are different types of dough for the donuts, really playing to capture a broad audience. Run, don't walk!
Right from the beginning I knew it was going to be love at first bite. I've been lucky enough to be a long time fan of owners Rachel & Mike's creations. I first tried their doughnuts when they were cooks at our tree-planting camp. Every planter knows that the most integral part of bush work is the meal at the end of the day, & Rachel & Mike surpassed everyone's expectations. After a long hard day of planting trees you could count on a delicious meal & occasionally a bite of a donut that truly was bliss. Since then I remained a dedicated supporter of their vision. Every pop up was filled with new & exciting creations that I never thought could be improved upon. Now that the shop is open it's nothing short of satisfying to see the dedication & ingenuity shine through everything from decisions about the floors & countertops, to the delicious treats! When you walk through the door you can immediately tell there's no games or gimmicks just a solid team with solid recipes. You can count on the fact that their in-house creations are consistently moist & buttery, only enhancing the flavour profile. Each donut has it's own unique & cohesive spin on classic flavours we know & love. If you ever get a chance to go you'll be lucky enough to experience the warmth & love created with their food us tree planters we're privileged to experience!
On a Secret Food Tour of Montreàl, Beigne Habitude was the final "secret" stop & their Choux donuts were the best thing, hands down, on a tour of the amazing foods of Jean-Talon & Little Italy. I had a honey sunflower cruller & bought the Spicy Mango to go. I'm eating the mango donut now, the next day, & it is STILL amazing. The dough is soft & eggy, the mango adds a little tartness, & heat of the chilies hits a little later. Honestly, though, you could put about anything on their choux dough & it would be delicious. The shop itself is very utilitarian & you can see the donut creations in the making. The next time you go to the market, make a little side trip!
I was introduced to this place by a friend & I'm in love. I'm very happy I'm 2hrs away from this place, or else I'd gain 50 lbs from all the doughnuts! Also they had a cherry coke doughnut that tasted exactly like the drink! I DON'T KNOW HOW! (I don't enjoy colas but have to admit it was super well executed!)
Amazing people & of course the doughnuts to match at this gem of a place! Hope to come back to Montreal soon!
I'm not a dessert fan, but I do appreciate a good donut or a beigne! This is undoubtedly a much more sophisticated item! It's not just fried dough with sprinkles or a glaze. There is something technical in the dough. It's like eating marinated meats that had been cooked well, rather than pouring some sauce on unmarinated protein. It's just a different level! It takes effort, knowledge, skill & just creativity! There's different airiness v doughiness across a range of their offerings. The flavours are so surprisingly good. Sunflower seeds crumbled on a donut? Lime & guava flavoured? Who would have thought? Even seasonal apparently - cherry cola flavour! They were so patient to explain all their different offerings. The smooth creaminess just melts in your mouth. Get a coffee to balance the taste is a good idea. Well done to Rachel & Michael! Yeah - so we bought a lot to try them out. Come on, you know you want to!
Best beignets/doughnuts we found in Montreal & we have been on the lookout. Lovely new business owners who put much TLC into their creations & the proof is in the taste. 3 styles of dough - including one which is based on choux pastry. Love the choux honey & sunflower doughnut which melts in your mouth - light & airy, with a delicate flavour. We look forward to visiting again on our next trip!
Honestly, one the best doughnuts I've ever had!!! Not shy at all on the butter!! Doughnuts leave an amazing mouth feel, the flavours are on point & sweetness is perfect!! Such a decadent doughnut! Love it!
Have been a fan since they were a pop up. Always pushing boundaries with their creations & in my opinion unmatched in Montreal if you're on the hunt for exotic flavours. Had their peach doughnuts last weekend which were incredible - the tart fruitiness of the peaches balanced perfectly with the sweet glaze. Their cola flavoured one is one of its kind, never tasted anything like that before; my wife had the guava one & didn't want to share.

These doughnuts are next level good! The Honey Sunflower Seed Cruller was a definite favorite. The owners were also very friendly & passionate about their craft. Will be back for more!
Im very picky when it comes to donuts because I am not a fan of the greasy & oily taste of donuts. These are beautifully crafted but I was disappointed in greasy dough & the overly sweet icing. I got the coconut mango chili 🌶️ 🥭 pate a choux donut. 6/10 I would get one of their other type of donuts next time i come back :) Good coffee though
Not your typical eye candy donuts shop. Very different kind of flavours & the dought is amazing. Really fluffy & it melts in your mouth. Was very happy with my first purchase this weekend. Will repeat
These are the best donuts we've ever had. Having these for the first time ever is truly a wonderful experience that everyone should have. It is true that their specialty is the variety of doughs they offer. We had the honey cruller with sunflower seed crumble that sat so lightly in your mouth & was so incredibly soft. The blueberry maple fritter was crispy & decadent & did not feel heavy at all. The hibiscus glazed donut was such an interesting flavour bomb that left me finishing it first. Not to mention the amazing service I had with the employee who took her time to walk me through the menu in detail, all done on the phone. The service was as great & as rememberable as the donuts. Thank you for making my Sunday morning.
